Rookie Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for a season-high 152 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries as the host Detroit Lions pulled away to a 26-14 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.

Jared Goff passed for 272 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the NFC North-leading Lions (6-2).

Riley Patterson made four of five field-goal attempts for Detroit. Amon-Ra St. Brown caught six passes for 108 yards and Sam LaPorta had eight receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.

Las Vegas' Jimmy Garoppolo was limited to 126 passing yards and was sacked six times. Josh Jacobs rushed for 61 yards and a TD on 15 carries for the Raiders (3-5). Marcus Peters returned an interception 75 yards for a touchdown.

Goff passed for 225 yards as Detroit grabbed a 16-7 halftime lead.

The Lions ran 14 plays on the game's opening possession and settled for Patterson's 44-yard field goal.

Detroit receiver Josh Reynolds fumbled deep in his own territory on the Lions' next possession, but Garoppolo threw an interception on the next play.

Las Vegas gambled on fourth-and-2 from its own 49 the next time it had the ball and Garoppolo threw an incompletion. Detroit drove inside the Raiders 10 but once again settled for a Patterson field goal, this time from 31 yards out.

That pattern was repeated, as Patterson kicked a 33-yard field goal to finish off the next Lions drive.

Las Vegas then drove 75 yards, with the march getting capped by Jacobs' 3-yard scoring run to pull the Raiders within 9-7 with 2:56 left in the first half.

Detroit answered with a 79-yard drive. Goff hit LaPorta over the middle for an 18-yard scoring pass with 27 seconds left in the half.

Peters changed the momentum when he picked off a Goff pass near the sideline and raced 75 yards to the end zone early in the third quarter. Detroit had another turnover on its next drive, as Maxx Crosby recovered a Craig Reynolds fumble at the Las Vegas 3-yard line.

The Lions made it 23-14 before the quarter ended when Gibbs cut to his left and scored from 27 yards out.

Patterson blasted a 52-yard field goal early in the fourth to extend Detroit's lead to 12 points.
