Kareem Hunt had 155 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown, Myles Garrett recorded 4.5 sacks and the Cleveland Browns pulled away for a 26-6 win over the visiting Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon.

Baker Mayfield completed 19 of 31 passes for 246 yards for Cleveland (2-1), which won its second game in a row after dropping its season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Browns tallied nine sacks as part of a dominant defensive effort.

Facing frequent duress in his first career start, Bears rookie Justin Fields completed only 6 of 20 passes for 68 yards. The Bears were credited with only 1 yard passing -- due to the lost yardage on those nine takedowns of Fields -- and 47 total yards on 42 offensive plays.

Khalil Mack had two sacks for Chicago (1-2) but left early because of a foot injury.

The Bears opened the scoring on a 47-yard field goal by Cairo Santos with 8:45 remaining in the first quarter. David Montgomery started the drive with a 16-yard run out of the backfield.

Cleveland pulled even at 3-3 on a career-long 57-yard field goal by Chase McLaughlin. His kick cleared the crossbar by a couple yards and shattered his previous long of 52 yards.

The Browns grabbed a 10-3 lead with 19 seconds remaining in the half. Mayfield took the snap out of the shotgun and fired a perfect 13-yard pass to Austin Hooper, who made a leaping catch in the end zone and held on for his first touchdown of the season.

McLaughlin connected again, this time from 41 yards, to increase Cleveland's advantage to 13-3 with 9:36 to go in the third quarter.

Chicago drove down the field late in the third before settling for a 22-yard field goal by Santos. That cut the Bears' deficit to 13-6 with 1:46 remaining in the period.

Cleveland made it a two-touchdown difference in the opening minute of the fourth quarter. Hunt broke one tackle in the backfield and broke another one in the open field on his way to a 29-yard rushing touchdown with 14:46 left.

The Browns made it 23-6 on a 52-yard field goal by McLaughlin with 10:44 to go.

McLaughlin capped the scoring with his fourth field goal, from 28 yards, with 3:43 remaining.
