Kevin Kolb threw a career-high three touchdown passes and Jeremy Maclin racked up 159 receiving yards and two scores as the Philadelphia Eagles built a big lead and held on to beat the visiting Atlanta Falcons 31-17 on Sunday.

In his second start in place of injured Michael Vick, Kolb completed 23 of 29 passes for 326 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

Maclin caught seven passes - including touchdowns of 8 and 83 yards for Philadelphia.

Fellow wideout DeSean Jackson scored two touchdowns - on a 31-yard run and a 34-yard reception from Kolb - before he left the game early in the second quarter with a head injury.

The Eagles held Atlanta to 65 rushing yards. The Falcons entered the game as the top rushing team in the NFC.

Atlanta's Michael Jenkins caught five passes for 99 yards in his first game of the season after missing the start of the campaign with a shoulder injury.

Matt Ryan completed 23 of 42 passes for 250 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Tony Gonzalez caught both scoring strikes.

The win moved the Eagles to 4-2 and snapped a four-game winning streak for Atlanta, which drops to 4-2.
