Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland cashed in another interception for a touchdown, Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes and Dallas cruised to a 43-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
CeeDee Lamb caught two TDs and finished with 12 receptions for 158 yards and Prescott threw scoring passes to Brandin Cooks and Jake Ferguson in a game Dallas (5-2) led by 30 just before halftime.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford left the game in the third quarter with a right hand injury. He was 13 of 22 for 162 yards with a touchdown. Royce Freeman scored on a 1-yard TD run and led the Rams (3-5) with 44 rushing yards on nine carries.
Dallas answered consecutive TD drives by the Rams and drained 10 minutes off the clock with a 17-play, 76-yard drive in the third quarter capped by Brandon Aubrey's 27-yard field goal for a 36-17 lead. On the kick, Aubrey tied the NFL record for consecutive field goals made -- 18 in 18 attempts -- to start his career.
When the Rams took the field looking to punch back but trailing by 19, it was with Brett Rypien at quarterback as trainers heavily wrapped the wrist and right thumb of Stafford.
The Cowboys forced a turnover on downs and, on the third play of the drive, Brandin Cooks caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Prescott, hiking the lead to 43-17.
Bland jumped an out route by Cooper Kupp and intercepted Stafford for an easy 30-yard interception return for a touchdown, staking Dallas to a 17-3 lead in the first quarter. It was Bland's third pick-6 of the season and the 30th of Stafford's career.
Dallas took a 33-3 lead with 2:27 left in the second quarter on Lamb's second TD catch of the day. He had nine receptions for 122 yards and two scores in the first half.
Stafford hit his thumb on the helmet of a defensive player on two separate plays in the two-minute drill that ended with Royce Freeman's TD run up the middle but was back on the field to start the second half, throwing a 20-yard TD pass to Ben Skowronek to cap a nine-play, 75-yard drive. Stafford caught the two-point conversion on a double-reverse pass from wide receiver Tutu Atwell.
