Doug Baldwin blocked a punt in the first quarter and caught a 28-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter as the Seattle Seahawks dealt the visiting St. Louis Rams their fourth straight loss 30-13 on Monday night.

Marshawn Lynch rushed for 115 yards – his third consecutive game over 100 yards – and scored a touchdown in his ninth straight game as Seattle (6-7) won for the fourth time in its last five games.

Baldwin did the rest of the work. He set up the first score by blocking a St. Louis punt and Michael Robinson scooped up the loose ball and returned it 17 yards for the only touchdown of the first half.

Seattle, which still has a mathematical chance of reaching the playoffs, made it 10-0 on a 42-yard field by Steven Hauschka. St. Louis finally got on the board on a 46-yard field goal by Josh Brown.

Hauschka made it 13-3 early in the second half with a 23-yard field.

The Rams (2-11) cut the deficit to 13-6 in the third quarter, but Tarvaris Jackson hooked up with Baldwin late in the third quarter for a backbreaking touchdown as the rookie wide receiver fought his way into the corner of the end zone on the long catch-and-run.

Hauschka added a 48-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

St. Louis, which didn’t score a touchdown last week, finally punched one in as Steven Jackson scored from a yard out in the fourth quarter. Lynch capped the scoring with a 16-yard run with 2:57 to play.

With 23 all-purpose yards in the first quarter Monday night, Jackson moved past Henry Ellard for third place in Rams’ franchise history in that category. He still trails receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt in total yards.

Sam Bradford returned to the lineup after missing a pair of games with a high ankle sprain. He was under pressure all night, getting sacked twice and intercepted once.
