Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan made a late decision to start Rex Grossman at quarterback instead of John Beck. He got the same old result.

Grossman was picked off by Karlos Dansby in the red zone to end a potential go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter and Reggie Bush added an 18-yard scoring run as the host Miami Dolphins clipped the Redskins 20-9 on Sunday.

Bush finished with a pair of touchdowns on the day, rushing for 47 yards on 14 carries.

Grossman finished 21 for 32 for 215 yards but had two costly interceptions as Washington (3-6) lost its fifth straight game for the first time since 2001.

Bush opened the scoring for the Dolphins (2-7) with a 1-yard run in the first quarter. Graham Gano, who missed two long field goals, got the Redskins on the board with a 26-yard field goal. It was the first time in the last five games that Washington had scored in the first quarter.

Miami didn’t allow a touchdown for the second straight game. Washington gained only 40 yards on the ground on 16 attempts.

Dan Carpenter and Gano both traded field goals in the second quarter and the Dolphins led 10-6 at the half. Both kickers accounted for the only scoring in the third quarter with field goals to make it 13-9.

Matt Moore was 20 for 29 passing for the Dolphins for 209 yards.
