Clippers 113, Warriors 103:
DeAndre Jordan collected a playoff career-high 25 points and grabbed 18 rebounds as Los Angeles put off-court distractions aside and took a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference series over visiting Golden State.

Chris Paul added 20 points, seven assists and five steals for the Clippers, who can close out the series in Game 6 at Golden State on Thursday. Blake Griffin added 18 points and Jamal Crawford scored 19 points off the bench for Los Angeles, hours after learning that owner Donald Sterling had been banned for life for making racist comments by commissioner Adam Silver.

Klay Thompson scored 21 points and David Lee recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors. Andre Iguodala had 18 points and Stephen Curry contributed 17 points but committed eight of Golden State’s 14 turnovers.

The Warriors were within three points early in the fourth quarter but never managed to close the gap completely. Thompson’s basket narrowed it to 98-92 with 4:35 remaining but Jordan hit a free throw and stole the ball from Curry, leading to Crawford’s transition layup as the Clippers pushed the lead out to as much as 11 before holding off a late charge.

Los Angeles ended the first quarter on a 7-1 run to take a 10-point lead and maintained a slim margin the rest of the half before settling for a 55-50 edge at the break. Curry’s 3-pointer gave Golden State a 70-69 lead with 1:49 left in the third but Paul responded with two 3-pointers in the final 92 seconds of the period to send the Clippers into the fourth up 77-72.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Los Angeles F Hedo Turkoglu took a hard fall under the basket with 7:47 left in the third quarter and was diagnosed with a lower back contusion. … Sterling was also fined $2.5 million dollars by the NBA. … Golden State F Draymond Green got his second straight start and contributed a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
