Warriors 93, Nets 86:
Jermaine O’Neal recorded season highs of 23 points and 13 rebounds as Golden State held off visiting Brooklyn.

O’Neal went 10-of-13 from the field and Draymond Green collected a career-high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the two started in place of Andrew Bogut and David Lee in the Warriors frontcourt. Stephen Curry added 17 points and eight assists while Andre Iguodala recorded 11 rebounds, eight points, six assists and four steals to help Golden State to its third straight win.

Deron Williams scored 20 points and Joe Johnson added 15 to lead the Nets. Andray Blatche contributed 14 points and eight rebounds off the bench as Brooklyn fell to 1-2 on its seven-game road trip.

The Nets got a chance for an unconventional four-point play when Joe Johnson hit a 3-pointer and Kevin Garnett was fouled on the floor at the same time but Garnett missed the free throw to leave the deficit at 82-80 with 4:26 left. Blatche’s layup tied it at 86 with 1:36 to play but O’Neal hit two free throws and Curry banked in a 3-pointer with 37.2 ticks remaining to help put it away.

Golden State held a 49-46 lead at the half and stretched it out to an 11-point bulge on Iguodala’s jumper with 3:12 left in the third before settling for a 68-64 advantage heading to the fourth. The Warriors held a 76-70 edge after Steve Blake’s 3-pointer with 7:56 to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: O’Neal’s double-double was his first of the season and the 277th of his career while Green posted his second career double-double. … Bogut (shoulder) sat out his seventh straight game while Lee missed the game with the flu. … Brooklyn G Shaun Livingston took a hard fall in the second quarter and left the game with a bruised tailbone.
