Warriors 108, Cavaliers 104 (OT): Draymond Green hit the go-ahead shot in overtime and came up big down the stretch while Stephen Curry collected 29 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds to lead visiting Golden State past Cleveland.

Curry came up short on a floater at the end of regulation and missed his first three shots in the extra session before knocking down a deep jumper with 13 seconds left to seal the Warriors’ fifth straight win. David Lee added 19 points and Klay Thompson scored 16 for Golden State, which was playing the opener of a seven-game road trip.

Kyrie Irving recorded 27 points and nine assists but had two straight shots blocked in a scoreless overtime for the Cavaliers. Tristan Thompson added 17 points and 12 rebounds and C.J. Miles scored 17 for Cleveland, which held a 104-102 lead in overtime but went the final 2:55 without a point.

Irving scored on consecutive possessions to keep the Cavaliers within two points before Tristan Thompson’s putback knotted it at 96 with two minutes left. Green, who finished with five points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, buried a 3-pointer to snap the deadlock and blocked a shot at the other end before Irving’s 3-pointer from the top of the key with 9.5 seconds left forced overtime.

The Warriors held an 18-15 lead early in the first quarter before the Cavaliers took off on a 15-0 run to take control. Cleveland held a 35-26 lead after the opening period and spread it out to 44-29 on Irving’s 3-pointer with 7:47 left in the half before a pair of 3-pointers from Curry in an 8-0 burst cut it to a nine-point gap at the break.

Golden State cut it to 69-66 on Lee’s basket less than 4 1/2 minutes into the third and knotted it at 82 when Curry found Marreese Speights for a layup with 1:46 left in the frame. The Cavaliers pushed in the final bucket of the third to take a two-point edge into the fourth but they would go the first four minutes of the final period without a point.

Andre Iguodala’s three-point play with 10:42 left gave the Warriors their first lead since the first quarter at 85-84. The advantage spread to five points before Irving’s bucket ended Cleveland’s drought.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Warriors G Toney Douglas (food poisoning) sat out the game. … Cleveland was again without C Andrew Bynum, who has been suspended by the team and is reportedly on the trading block. … After going 10 straight games each reaching double figures in rebounds, Lee (four) and Warriors C Andrew Bogut (five) both failed to pull down double-digit boards for the second consecutive contest.
