Tim Duncan turned back the clock with 25 points and Tony Parker added 24 as the San Antonio Spurs used a big second have to top the visiting Houston Rockets, 99-91, on Wednesday.

Gary Neal chipped in 15 points off the bench and Matt Bonner collected eight points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs, who forced 20 turnovers.

The Rockets looked like they would run away with it in the first half, holding San Antonio to 36 percent shooting and taking a 52-39 lead into the half behind 21 points from Kevin Martin.

But the Spurs turned to a familiar source in Duncan after the break. The future Hall of Famer is on his way to career lows in most statistical categories but brought his team back on Wednesday, scoring 16 points in the third as San Antonio narrowed the gap.

Neal’s jumper with two minutes left in the game put the Spurs on top for good, 93-91, and Bonner buried a 3-pointer off a turnover to stretch it out 56 seconds later.

Houston ended up being outscored 60-39 after the break.

Martin finished with 29 points and Kyle Lowry added 15 for the Rockets.
