The Washington Capitals own the best record in hockey and only a pair of one-sided losses to the Columbus Blue Jackets in an eight-day span kept them from widening their lead. Winners of eight of their last 10 overall, the Capitals go for their NHL-leading 16th road victory when they wind up a three-game trek at the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.
Toronto at NY Rangers 7:00 PM ET
The Toronto Maple Leafs appear to be coming together under new coach Sheldon Keefe and will seek to match a season-high winning streak when they go for their third straight win at the New York Rangers on Friday night. The Maple Leafs have won four of five to improve to 8-4-0 since Keefe took over behind the bench for the fired Mike Babcock.
Pittsburgh at Edmonton 9:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins have run roughshod over Western Conference representatives this season, posting a spectacular 13-3-1 record to help them remain in the thick of the action in the Metropolitan Division. The Penguins, however, look to avenge a rare setback in that sequence when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Friday.
