San Jose at Montreal 7:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks are buried in last place in the Pacific Division and trying to dig out of an early-season hole, but they will have to do it the hard way as they resume a five-game road trip with a visit to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night. However, the Sharks have had their way with the Canadiens, winning eight in a row and four straight in Montreal.
Arizona at NY Islanders 7:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes scored just one goal in dropping their first two games of the season, but they have stormed back with a vengeance, earning points in six straight games and reeling off four victories in a row. The Coyotes attempt to keep the good vibes going against another team on a roll when they visit the New York Islanders on Thursday night.
Buffalo at NY Rangers 7:00 PM ET
The Buffalo Sabres have won all five contests at home this season to skate off to their second-best 10-game start in franchise history. The Sabres hope their success travels well on Thursday when they venture across the Empire State to visit the reeling New York Rangers.
Carolina at Columbus 7:00 PM ET
The Columbus Blue Jackets have played in seven straight one-goal contests and look to make things a bit easier on themselves when they host the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday for a Metropolitan Division battle. The Blue Jackets have earned at least a point in five consecutive games (3-0-2), including a victory at Carolina on Oct. 12 and a 4-3 overtime triumph at Toronto on Monday.
Los Angeles at St. Louis 8:00 PM ET
Vladimir Tarasenko has been scorching hot for the St. Louis Blues over the last five contests, even if the reigning Stanley Cup champions only have one win to show for it (1-2-2). Tarasenko carries a five-game point streak (three goals, five assists) into Thursday's finale of a four-game homestand against the Los Angeles Kings.
Minnesota at Nashville 8:00 PM ET
The Nashville Predators on Thursday try to continue their mastery over the visiting Minnesota Wild, who will be without No. 1 goaltender Devan Dubnyk after he was involved in a violent crease collision. Nashville has won six in a row against Minnesota and eight consecutive encounters at Bridgestone Arena, where it is 4-1-1 this season including a 5-2 season-opening victory over the Wild on Oct. 3.
Philadelphia at Chicago 8:30 PM ET
The Philadelphia Flyers have yet to win a game in which they were designated as the road team, even though they opened the season with a 4-3 "neutral-site" victory over the Chicago Blackhawks in Prague, Czech Republic. The Flyers bid to complete a sweep of the Blackhawks for the second straight season on Thursday when they visit the Windy City.
Anaheim at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks will see a familiar face on the other side of the ice when they visit the Dallas Stars on Thursday. Corey Perry, who signed a one-year $1.5 million contract with Dallas during the offseason, faces his former club for the first time after playing 14 seasons with Anaheim - a span that produced a Stanley Cup in 2007 and a Hart Trophy in 2011.
Florida at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
The Florida Panthers have recorded at least a point in six straight contests and look to continue their run when they visit the up-and-down Calgary Flames on Thursday night to open a four-game western road trip. The Panthers are 3-0-3 during their streak after winning at Nashville in a shootout Saturday and holding off Pittsburgh for a 4-2 triumph Tuesday with 23 saves from Sergei Bobrovsky.
Washington at Edmonton 9:00 PM ET
After a sizzling start to the season, the Edmonton Oilers have hit their first speed bump while the Washington Capitals have hit their stride following a brief rough patch of their own. The Oilers return home after absorbing back-to-back shutout losses on the road and on Thursday night will host the surging Capitals, who are riding a four-game winning streak.
