The Winnipeg Jets did just fine with a difficult road schedule to open the season, and they look to build on that momentum when they begin their five-game homestand on Sunday against the injury-depleted Pittsburgh Penguins. The Jets split the four games of their season-opening trek, which included a 4-1 win at Pittsburgh, and rallied from a two-goal deficit on Saturday to post a 3-2 win in Chicago thanks to Mark Scheifele’s goal 47 seconds into overtime.

The Los Angeles Kings used a late surge to emerge victorious in their roller coaster of a home opener on Saturday. They hope to build a lead and preserve it when they continue their five-game homestand Sunday against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Calgary at San Jose 10:00 PM ET
Patrick Marleau made his triumphant return to the San Jose Sharks earlier in the week and the 40-year-old makes his season debut at home on Sunday, when the team hosts the Calgary Flames. Marleau, who signed a one-year, $700,000 contract on Wednesday after spending the last two campaigns with Toronto, scored twice the following night as the Sharks snapped their season-opening four-game losing streak with a 5-4 win at Chicago.
