Preview Roundups
March 06, 2020
St. Louis at New Jersey 7:00 PM ET
There has been no Stanley Cup hangover for the St. Louis Blues, who made history by becoming only the second team to string together three winning streaks of at least seven games one season after winning the championship. The Blues will go for their season-high ninth consecutive victory when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.
Chicago at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings are each anchored at the bottom of their respective divisions, but the prospects for the Original Six rivals could not be more disparate. While the woeful Red Wings are looking up at the rest of the NHL, the resurgent Blackhawks vie for a season high-tying fifth consecutive victory on Friday night in Detroit.
Vegas at Winnipeg 8:00 PM ET
The Vegas Golden Knights are blazing a trail through the Pacific Division by winning nine of their last 10 games, with all but one being played at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights take their show on road Friday when they open a five-game road trip against the Winnipeg Jets.
Arizona at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
The Calgary Flames held up well on their recent road trip, earning seven of a possible 10 points, and how face one of the most favorable schedules entering the stretch run. That is, of course, if Calgary can improve its performance at Scotiabank Saddledome, where it will play 10 of its final 14 games, starting with Friday's clash versus the Arizona Coyotes.
Colorado at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Colorado Avalanche look to extend their franchise-record road winning streak to 10 games and post their NHL-best 24th victory away from home on Friday when they visit the Vancouver Canucks. The Avalanche even pushed their point streak to a season high-tying nine contests (7-0-2) after their 4-3 overtime loss to Anaheim on Wednesday.
Toronto at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to salvage the final contest of their disappointing three-game road trip when they visit the Anaheim Ducks on Friday. Toronto came into the stretch with 11 straight victories against teams from California but a 5-2 setback to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday was followed by a 1-0 shootout defeat Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings.
