The Nashville Predators are starting to resemble a Stanley Cup contender as they continue their three-game homestand Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche in a big Central Division clash. Nashville has won two straight and three of its last four games after Thursday's 2-1 victory over Los Angeles as it continues to jockey with Winnipeg for Central supremacy.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have dropped three in a row to open the door for the fourth-place Montreal Canadiens to inch closer to them in the Atlantic Division standings. The Maple Leafs aim to get back on track and defeat the Canadiens for the third time in as many meetings this season when the Original Six rivals reconvene in Toronto on Saturday night.
