The Buffalo Sabres came out of the All-Star break well-rested and facing a schedule that is conducive to climbing back into contention for a postseason bid. However, the Sabres flopped badly in a 5-2 home loss to the Ottawa Senators and will look to rebound against another Atlantic Division foe when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night.
Nashville at New Jersey 7:30 PM ET
The Nashville Predators showed some life with a victory against the league’s top team and look to ride that momentum 24 hours later when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night. The Predators had lost three of four after a disappointing performance coming out of the break against Toronto, but rallied in the third period on the road to knock off Washington 5-4 on Wednesday.
Los Angeles at Arizona 9:30 PM ET
The slumping Arizona Coyotes have little room for error in a crowded Western Conference playoff race and are in desperate need of a win Thursday when they host the Los Angeles Kings. The Coyotes were 1-4-1 heading into their 10-day All-Star break and had an unsuccessful return to the ice Wednesday as they suffered a 4-2 setback in Anaheim.
