The Montreal Canadiens have strung together victories for the first time since mid-December and will try to keep moving in the right direction when they host the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday. Montreal began a stretch of nine home games in 12 contests with a 2-0 victory over Calgary on Monday for its second straight victory after an eight-game slide (0-7-1) dropped it out of Eastern Conference playoff contention.

The reigning Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues hope to make more history when they go after a franchise-record 10th straight victory on home ice Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers. St. Louis outscored opponents 36-15 during its home streak, which equaled the previous single-season team record set in 1991, after knocking off Anaheim 4-1 on Monday for its fourth straight win.
