Jeff Newberry is having fun again, and that promises to be anything but enjoyable for Oklahoma State’s opponents. Classic on Thursday with a quarterfinal matchup against Towson of the

Unbeaten Miami (Fla.) heads into the Puerto Rico Tip-Off on Thursday brimming with confidence while its first-round foe Mississippi State looks to rebound from a disappointing home loss to Southern. The eight-team tournament features No. 16 Utah on the same side of the bracket as the Hurricanes and Bulldogs while No. 20 Butler is on the other side.
Central Conn. St. at Boston College 6:00 PM ET
Eli Carter made a quick impression in his first game with Boston College by leading the Eagles to an easy victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) The graduate transfer, who had stints at Florida and Rutgers, looks to keep stuffing the stat sheets when BC hosts Central Connecticut State on Thursday.
George Washington at South Florida 7:00 PM ET
After producing the first major upset of the college basketball season, George Washington will try to avoid a letdown when it travels to USF on Thursday. The Colonials' 73-68 win over No. 6 Virginia on Monday - the program's first victory over a ranked opponent at home since 1998 - sent a signal to the rest of the Atlantic 10 that Mike Lonergan's team is for real.
Creighton at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
Offense doesn't appear to be a problem for No. 15 Indiana, which has racked up 190 points in its first two games. The high-powered Hoosiers take aim at visiting Creighton on Thursday looking to continue their impressive start to the season.
Rutgers at St. John's 7:00 PM ET
After an inauspicious debut, Chris Mullin has eased the fears of St. John's fans with a 2-0 start to the season. The Red Storm look to continue their winning ways when they host former Big East rival Rutgers at Carnesecca Arena on Thursday.
Texas Southern at Clemson 7:00 PM ET
Clemson head coach Brad Brownell preaches defense first, and so far this season his team has stuck to the game plan. The Tigers will try to stifle another opponent and improve to 3-0 for just the second time in the last five seasons when they host Texas Southern on Thursday.
Long Beach St. at Seton Hall 7:00 PM ET

Seton Hall has ridden a strong sophomore class to a 2-0 start heading into this week’s Charleston (S.C.) Classic. The Pirates open the eight-team tournament Thursday with a quarterfinal matchup against Long Beach State in TD Arena.

Green Bay at Georgia Tech 7:00 PM ET
A non-conference victory in November may not resonate as the season unfolds, but Georgia Tech hopes Monday’s narrow win over Tennessee shows it has the mentality to win the types of games it lost so frequently a season ago. The Yellow Jackets host Green Bay on Thursday in the NIT Season Tipoff after downing the Volunteers 69-67, getting a career-best 23 points from transfer Nick Jacobs to boost a program that lost 13 ACC games by seven points or less in 2014-15.
Marshall at Tennessee 7:00 PM ET

Tennessee aims to extend its 56-game home winning streak in November when the Volunteers host Marshall on Thursday. The Vols haven’t lost at home in the opening month of the season since 1996, and they hope to improve to 2-0 at home this year after opening the season with an 82-78 win over visiting UNC Asheville.

Utah at Texas Tech 7:30 PM ET
Jakob Poeltl turned down a chance to enter the NBA after last season at Utah, and the 7-foot Austrian is off to a dominating start as a sophomore. Poeltl goes after his third straight double-double to begin the campaign as the 16th-ranked Utes take on improved Texas Tech in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan on Thursday night.
Tulane at Southern 8:00 PM ET
Tulane did not left itself much room for error in the early going and split a pair of overtime decisions in its first two contests. The Green Wave will try to get out a little further in front when they visit Southern for their first road test on Thursday.
Houston Baptist at Texas Christian 8:00 PM ET

Sophomore transfer Vladimir Brodziansky will look to build off his impressive TCU debut when the Horned Frogs host Houston Baptist on Thursday. Brodziansky, a 6-10 forward from Pratt (Kansas) Community College, was named the Big 12 Conference's newcomer of the week after recording 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in TCU's opener last week.

Delaware State at Nebraska 8:00 PM ET

After beating Mississippi Valley State by 46 points in its season opener, Nebraska took a step up in competition and fell flat on its face losing to No. 8 Villanova 87-63 on Tuesday night. The Cornhuskers won't have to wait long to redeem themselves when they host Delaware State on Thursday -- the second of four games in eight days.

Stony Brook at Vanderbilt 8:00 PM ET
Vanderbilt might be missing junior forward Luke Kornet when it hosts Stony Brook in Thursday's non-conference game. The 7-foot-1 Kornet sprained his left ankle on Monday when the 17th-rnaked Commodores rolled to a 98-62 victory over Gardner-Webb.
Texas A&M CC at Texas A&M 8:00 PM ET
Texas A&M has started off the 2015-16 campaign red hot, hitting the 100-point mark in each of its first two games, both victories. Now the Aggies look to keep their hot streak going when they host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday night.
Grambling State at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
After missing the NCAA Tournament last season for the first time in five years, Memphis came up short in its first true challenge of 2015-16. Two days after a hard-fought loss against No. 8 Oklahoma, the Tigers aim for a smooth bounce-back effort against visiting Grambling State on Thursday.
Boise St. at Arizona 8:30 PM ET

Cohen, a 6-6 forward, has registered 11 points in each game to go with a total of 11 rebounds, four assists, four steals and four 3-pointers.
South Alabama at Louisiana State 9:00 PM ET
Ben Simmons found himself on All-American and Wooden Award watch lists before even stepping on the court, and he is living up to the hype. The freshman phenom will try to guide No. 19 LSU to its third win when it hosts South Alabama on Thursday.
Oregon St. at Rice 9:00 PM ET

Second-year Oregon State coach Wayne Tinkle likes the chemistry his team is building heading into Thursday's road trip to Rice. A senior-laden roster led by Gary Payton II is being boosted by the play of three freshmen.

Virginia at Bradley 9:30 PM ET

Virginia has received an early wake-up call with the sixth-ranked Cavaliers falling 73-68 at George Washington on Monday night and becoming the first top-10 team to lose this season. Coach Tony Bennett’s team now heads into Thursday’s Charleston (S.C.) Classic quarterfinal game against Bradley with a different mindset.

Pepperdine at UCLA 10:30 PM ET
The season hasn't started the way many envisioned for UCLA, and the competition will only get tougher when the Bruins host Pepperdine on Thursday night. UCLA suffered a shocking overtime loss in its season opener last week against Monmouth, then had to scramble Sunday night to beat Cal Poly by five points after blowing another double-digit lead late in regulation.
Mount St. Mary's at Washington 10:30 PM ET
Rebuilding Washington is attempting to identify productive players early in the season, and reliable guard Andrew Andrews appears well on his way to being the team's top player. The senior opened the season with 23 points against Texas and looks for another high-scoring outing against Mount St. Mary's on Thursday.
Southern Methodist at Stanford 11:30 PM ET
After two impressive wins to begin the season, Stanford takes a step up in competition Thursday against visiting SMU, which opened with a dominant 85-50 victory over Sam Houston State. The Mustangs are coming off back-to-back 27-win seasons but have been banned from postseason play by the NCAA for a variety of rules violations.
