March 01, 2020
Creighton at St. John's 12:00 PM ET
Greg McDermott recently told reporters that being a highly ranked team means his team is going to get "everybody's best shot," but it has actually been Creighton that has been gunning down opponents on a regular basis for most of the last two months. His 11th-ranked Bluejays set their sights on winning six straight conference games for the first time as a member of the Big East on Sunday when they visit St. John's.
South Florida at Temple 12:00 PM ET
In the midst of a rocky season, South Florida has a chance to win its final road game Sunday when it takes on American Athletic Conference foe Temple. The Bulls recently lost four games in a row before bouncing back to defeat East Carolina in overtime on Wednesday.
Cincinnati at Houston 1:00 PM ET
Houston looks to remain unbeaten at home in the American Athletic Conference when it hosts Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon in a showdown between two of the three teams on top of the league standings. The Cougars fell into a tie with Cincinnati and Tulsa for first place after suffering a 60-59 loss at Memphis on Feb. 22, missing all four of their field goal attempts in the final 2:23.
Xavier at Georgetown 2:00 PM ET
Xavier can solidify its case to be included in the NCAA Tournament by winning its final three games, including Sunday's Big East Conference matchup at Georgetown. The Musketeers are projected to be in the field as of now, but adding three Quad 1 wins to their resume, including sweeping the season series from the Hoyas, would help immensely.
Indiana at Illinois 2:00 PM ET
Illinois can reach 20 wins for the first time since the 2016-17 season when it hosts Indiana on Sunday. The Fighting Illini have won three straight games, including a 74-66 victory over Northwestern on Thursday, to move into a four-way tie for second place in the Big Ten, and they aim to stay in contention for a double-bye in the conference tournament by beating the Hoosiers for the first time since Jan. 24, 2018.
Michigan at Ohio St. 4:00 PM ET
With three games remaining in the regular season, No. 22 Michigan and No. 23 Ohio State have no chance to win the Big Ten title, but the rivals do have plenty of incentive to finish strong and improve their seeding position for the postseason. The teams enter Sunday's game in Columbus tied in the Big Ten standings and with the Buckeyes in search of a season sweep.
Wichita St. at Southern Methodist 4:00 PM ET
Wichita State will look to remain on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble when it travels to Southern Methodist on Sunday with a possible bye in the American Athletic Conference tournament at stake. The Shockers will face a tall task as the Mustangs have lost just once at Moody Coliseum all season and are undefeated there in conference play.
Northwestern at Nebraska 4:15 PM ET
The fates of Nebraska and Northwestern have been known for some time, as both programs are stuck in double-digit losing streaks that have buried them in the Big Ten basement. The Wildcats seek an end to their 12-game skid against the only team they have defeated inside the conference Sunday when they visit the Cornhuskers, who have dropped 13 in a row.
Virginia Tech at Louisville 6:00 PM ET
With two games left in the ACC regular season, Louisville is locked in a two-way tie for the top spot in the ACC standings with Florida State. The 10th-ranked Cardinals open the month of March with its final home game of the season and look to finish 17-1 in the KFC Yum! Center when Virginia Tech rolls into town Sunday.
Colorado at Stanford 6:00 PM ET
No. 20 Colorado’s hopes of winning a Pac-12 regular-season title have taken a serious hit following disappointing back-to-back defeats. The Buffaloes, who entered the weekend fourth in the conference, will try to get back on course Sunday afternoon when they visit seventh-place Stanford.
Minnesota at Wisconsin 6:30 PM ET
Wisconsin looks to continue its late-season surge when it hosts Minnesota on Sunday. The Badgers have won five consecutive games, including an impressive 81-74 victory against No. 22 Michigan, to solidify their NCAA Tournament prospects, and they hope to stay in contention for a double-bye in the Big Ten Tournament by extending their home winning streak to seven games.
