Preview Roundups
February 25, 2016
Southern Methodist at Memphis 7:00 PM ET
SMU won’t be playing in the American Athletic Conference tournament and is ineligible for the NCAA Tournament due to sanctions against the program, but the Mustangs can still go for the regular-season crown. SMU will try to pull into a tie for first place in the conference with Temple when it visits disappointing Memphis on Thursday.
Nebraska at Penn St. 7:00 PM ET

Penn State is riding a wave of momentum having won three of four games, including victories against Indiana, which was ranked 22nd at the time, and then-No. 4 Iowa. The only loss in that stretch came at Nebraska, but the Nittany Lions have a chance to exact revenge Thursday as they face a Cornhuskers team in search of its fourth road win of the season.

Florida St. at Duke 7:00 PM ET

Duke hopes a healthier backcourt will help it bounce back from a loss last time out when it hosts struggling Florida State on Thursday. The 18th-ranked Blue Devils had their five-game winning streak snapped Saturday as they suffered a 71-64 setback at Louisville in which they were down to six healthy scholarship players.

Providence at Seton Hall 7:00 PM ET
No. 24 Providence visits surging Seton Hall on Thursday in a Big East contest that has significant NCAA Tournament implications. The Friars, who were ranked 11th in the country entering February, have lost four of their last five to go from being a sure thing for a March Madness invitation to being one of a handful of Big East teams on the bubble.
Connecticut at South Florida 7:30 PM ET
With four games left in the regular season, Connecticut looks to enhance its ever-changing NCAA Tournament resume when it visits USF on Thursday. The Huskies lost at Cincinnati last time out, dropping them into fifth place in the American Athletic Conference standings, and can't afford many more setbacks.
Indiana at Illinois 9:00 PM ET
Indiana enjoyed the best 3-point shooting game in school history against Illinois earlier this season and the No. 15 Hoosiers look to knock down some more from behind the arc when they face the Fighting Illini in Thursday's Big Ten contest. Indiana made a school-record 19 3-pointers in the 103-69 rout on Jan. 19 and senior point guard Yogi Ferrell led the assault by making five.
St. John's at DePaul 9:00 PM ET
St. John's visits DePaul on Thursday, eight days after beating the Blue Demons 80-65 at home. The win by the Red Storm on Feb. 17 snapped a 16-game losing streak, more than double the previous school record of seven in a row.
UCLA at California 9:00 PM ET
If UCLA is going to keep its faint NCAA Tournament hopes alive, the Bruins will need to start by handing California a rare home loss. The surging Bears are unbeaten in 16 games at Haas Pavilion this season and head into Thursday’s contest against UCLA riding a five-game winning streak.
Arizona State at Utah 9:00 PM ET
Utah is part of a four-way scramble for the Pac-12 title and the No. 23 Utes need to avoid a letdown when they host struggling Arizona State on Thursday. Utah is battling Arizona, Oregon and California for the conference regular-season crown and the contest against the Sun Devils will be followed by Saturday's showdown with No. 10 Arizona.
Southern California at Stanford 11:00 PM ET
Most experts' projections have USC on track for its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2011, but the Trojans can help secure a spot by rediscovering its offense over the final four regular-season games. The 19-8 Trojans have lost three of their last four games heading into Thursday’s contest at Stanford, including last Sunday’s 80-69 loss to Utah.
