Preview Roundups
January 05, 2016
South Carolina at Auburn 7:00 PM ET

After sweeping through its non-conference schedule, No. 20 South Carolina looks to remain unbeaten when it travels to Auburn on Tuesday to open Southeastern Conference play. The Tigers, who began league play with an 83-77 win over Tennessee on Saturday, have lost 14 straight against ranked opponents dating to Feb. 18, 2012.

East Carolina at Tulsa 7:00 PM ET
Last year, Tulsa won its first 10 conference games en route to a 14-4 league record. This season, the Golden Hurricane have dropped their first two American Athletic contests and look to end the skid against East Carolina on Tuesday.
Wisconsin at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
Greg Gard is settling into the role of interim Wisconsin basketball coach and looks to guide the Badgers to a much-needed Big Ten road victory over Indiana on Tuesday. Wisconsin is 2-1 since Gard replaced the retired Bo Ryan as coach and the Badgers split their first two conferences games as part of the transition.
Minnesota at Penn St. 7:00 PM ET
Minnesota looks for its first Big Ten win of the season when it hits the road to face Penn State on Tuesday. The Gophers have dropped six of their last seven games, including back-to-back losses to Ohio State and No. 5 Michigan State in the last week, and are in danger of falling to 0-3 in conference play for the second time in as many years.
Marquette at Providence 7:00 PM ET
Providence looks to establish its best 16-game start in 51 years when it puts an eight-game winning streak on the line against visiting Marquette on Tuesday. The ninth-ranked Friars have looked dominant in winning 14 of their first 15 games and could become the first team in the history of the program to open 15-1 since the 1964-65 edition began 17-0.
Oklahoma St. at Baylor 8:00 PM ET
Oklahoma State has been looking for someone to fill the scoring void opened up by the injury to Phil Forte, and Jeff Newberry will try for a second straight big game Tuesday when the Cowboys visit No. 25 Baylor in a Big 12 game. Newberry matched his career high with 23 points Saturday and grabbed eight rebounds in a 69-48 victory against TCU in the conference opener for both teams.
Kansas St. at Texas 8:00 PM ET

Texas has been left at a loss without injured center Cameron Ridley, who is sidelined indefinitely with a fractured left foot. Without the 6-10 center the Longhorns have dropped two straight following a six-game win streak and will be looking to get back on course Tuesday against visiting Kansas State in their Big 12 home opener.

Temple at Connecticut 8:00 PM ET
Connecticut blew a 19-point, second-half lead in its conference opener Saturday but managed to recover in time to win at Tulane. The No. 24 Huskies look for their sixth straight victory when they host Temple in an American Athletic game Tuesday in Hartford.
Clemson at Syracuse 8:00 PM ET
With a brutal schedule on the horizon, Clemson cannot afford to slip up Tuesday at Syracuse. The Tigers face five straight ranked opponents beginning with a matchup against Louisville this weekend before taking on Duke, Miami (Fla.), Virginia and Pittsburgh in its next four contests.
Butler at DePaul 8:00 PM ET
Butler was feeling pretty good about itself with an 11-1 record and a No. 10 ranking in the USA Today Coaches Poll entering the Big East portion of its schedule. Two conference losses later, the No. 19 Bulldogs hope to get better with a visit to DePaul on Tuesday - their first Big East game against an unranked team.
Nicholls State at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
Memphis looks to reach 10 victories prior to settling into league play in the American Athletic Conference when it hosts non-conference foe Nicholls on Tuesday night. The Tigers have been solid throughout the season, with the team's four losses coming to opponents that had a combined 46-5 record heading into Monday's action.
Kentucky at Louisiana State 9:00 PM ET
The most talented player in the country faces perhaps the most talented team in the country on Tuesday when Ben Simmons and LSU hosts No. 8 Kentucky in SEC action. Simmons is almost certain to be the top pick in the 2016 NBA draft, while Kentucky's Skal Labissiere and Jamal Murray could be top-five picks as well.
Vanderbilt at Arkansas 9:00 PM ET
As visiting Vanderbilt and Arkansas look for their first SEC win Tuesday, Commodores coach Kevin Stallings is hoping for a better all-around effort from his team. "(Wade Baldwin IV) was the only guy on our team that played the game the way it needed to be played to win," Stallings said after Saturday's loss to LSU. "We consistently have guys in big games that don't show up to play, and I've tried just about everything that I know to resolve that."
Tulane at Houston 9:00 PM ET
Houston can match last year's win total with a win against visiting Tulane on Tuesday. It's quite a turnaround for a Cougars squad that went 13-19 last year and didn't win its first American Athletic Conference game until February.
Nebraska at Iowa 9:00 PM ET

Iowa is on a roll and sits atop the Big Ten standings after knocking off then-No. 1 Michigan State and then going on the road and defeating Purdue, which was ranked No. 14. The Hawkeyes return home on Tuesday night to face a struggling Nebraska squad that has yet to win in two tries in conference play.

Georgetown at Creighton 9:00 PM ET
Regardless of who they are playing or where, it all starts with defense for Georgetown, which will look to remain unbeaten in the Big East on Tuesday at Creighton. The Hoyas held Marquette to under 40 percent shooting and grabbed 32 defensive rebounds in posting their third straight victory Saturday at home.
