Preview Roundups
January 30, 2018
Oklahoma City at Washington 7:00 PM ET
Russell Westbrook has elevated his game to MVP-levels once again during Oklahoma City's eight-game winning streak, something the Washington Wizards know all about. The Wizards will try for the second time in less than a week to slow down the superstar guard when they host the streaking Thunder on Tuesday.
Brooklyn at New York 7:30 PM ET
The New York Knicks make a quick pit stop at home before a return to the rigors of the road when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. The Knicks wrapped up a seven-game road trip with a 3-4 mark after a 107-85 victory at Phoenix on Friday, and they will play 10 of their next 15 away from home after the matchup with the Nets.
Minnesota at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves are a rising squad and they take aim at ending their long victory drought in Toronto when they visit the Raptors on Tuesday. Minnesota has dropped 13 consecutive games in Toronto with their last victory occurring Jan. 21, 2004, which also was the last season in which the franchise made the playoffs.
Cleveland at Detroit 8:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons are mired in an eight-game losing streak and shook things up in a big way by acquiring Blake Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers. It is unknown whether or not Griffin will make his club debut in Tuesday's home against the Cleveland Cavaliers but the Pistons will be counting on the five-time All-Star to help spring a turnaround.
Orlando at Houston 8:00 PM ET
The Houston Rockets are striving to keep the heat on the Golden State Warriors and they look to post their ninth victory in 11 games when they host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. Houston trails the Warriors by four games for the top seed in the Western Conference and will try to avoid a letdown against the struggling Magic.
Sacramento at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans began life without DeMarcus Cousins on a down note after squandering a 21-point lead in a 112-103 loss at the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. The Pelicans will try to put two halves together and continue to improve without their All-Star center when they host the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
Denver at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets haven't won in San Antonio in nearly six years and strive to halt a 10-game losing streak in the city when they visit the Spurs on Tuesday. San Antonio is a stellar 72-19 all-time at home against the Nuggets and last suffered a setback to Denver at the AT&T Center on March 4, 2012.
Golden State at Utah 9:00 PM ET
Stephen Curry is playing like an MVP and the Golden State Warriors are thriving, just in time to hit the road for a three-game trip. The Warriors will try to pick up their 15th win in the last 16 road games when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.
Portland at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers were just beginning to roll with DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin finally healthy together, but the team has apparently decided to blow up its core. The Clippers will not have Griffin on the roster for the first time since making him the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
