Preview Roundups
January 28, 2018
Milwaukee at Chicago 3:30 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks are 2-0 since former coach Jason Kidd was dismissed, but both of those wins came at home against teams near the bottom of the standings. The Bucks will try to keep the momentum going on the road when they visit the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
Phoenix at Houston 3:30 PM ET
The Houston Rockets had a four-game winning streak come to an end on Friday but got another big performance out of All-Star snub Chris Paul. The Rockets will try to start another winning streak when they begin a two-game homestand by hosting the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
L.A. Clippers at New Orleans 4:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans are reeling from a devastating injury to one of their All-Stars, just when the team was beginning to gain some momentum. The Pelicans will begin life without DeMarcus Cousins when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
Detroit at Cleveland 6:00 PM ET
The Cleveland Cavaliers take a stab at their first winning streak in well over a month when they host the stumbling Detroit Pistons on Sunday in the front half of a home-and-home set. A 115-108 win over Indiana on Friday counts as just the fifth victory in the last 16 games for the Cavaliers, who got a triple-double - albeit with a career-high 11 turnovers - from LeBron James in a much-needed triumph.
L.A. Lakers at Toronto 6:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors' home dominance has seemingly vanished this month and they will now host one of the hotter teams in the NBA in the rising Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. After opening 14-1 at Air Canada Centre, the Raptors are 3-3 over their last six games there and they opened a three-game homestand Friday night with a 97-93 loss to a Utah team that was putting together consecutive wins for the first time in nearly two months.
Philadelphia at Oklahoma City 6:00 PM ET
The hottest teams in their respective conferences square off Sunday when the Philadelphia 76ers continue a four-game road trip at the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Sixers are coming off perhaps their best win of the season, a 97-78 triumph at San Antonio, which had lost just three of its first 23 home games before Philadelphia came in and dominated.
Sacramento at San Antonio 7:00 PM ET
San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich wasn't too pleased with how his team performed in a 97-78 home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, and they dropped two of the last three in their own building following a 14-game home winning streak. The Spurs will try to take advantage of one of the teams at the bottom of the standings when they host the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.
