Toronto at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees have not lost a series at home since mid-April and can extend that unbeaten streak to 23 in a row when they host the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon in the final regular-season game at Yankee Stadium. New York rebounded from a 4-3 loss in Friday's series opener to halt Toronto's five-game winning streak with a 7-2 romp on Saturday.
Seattle at Baltimore 1:05 PM ET
After having their five-game winning streak halted in the series opener, the Seattle Mariners wasted little time getting back in the win column. Seattle attempts to capture its fourth consecutive series when it visits the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday for the rubber match of their three-game set.
Boston at Tampa Bay 1:10 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays are displaying a flair for the dramatic on their final homestand of the season and can clinch a series win over the visiting Boston Red Sox when the American League East rivals continue a four-game series Sunday afternoon. The Rays have opened the set with consecutive 5-4 wins - both in 11 innings - to move a game ahead of the Cleveland Indians for the second wild card in the AL.
NY Mets at Cincinnati 1:10 PM ET
The New York Mets can't afford any more losses with their postseason hopes hanging by a thread and failing to take advantage of a team below them in the standings could signal the end of their late run. The Mets will try to bounce back and take the rubber match when they visit the Cincinnati Reds for the finale of a three-game series on Sunday.
Washington at Miami 1:10 PM ET
The Washington Nationals pulled out a win on Saturday and maintained their lead in the National League wild card race but the cracks in the roster made the game more difficult than necessary. The Nationals will try to overcome those cracks and finish off a three-game sweep when they visit the Miami Marlins for the finale of a three-game series on Sunday.
Chi. White Sox at Detroit 1:10 PM ET
The Chicago White Sox are knocking the cover off the ball heading down the stretch and have themselves eyeing a three-game sweep when they conclude a weekend set at the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. Jose Abreu and Yoan Moncada combined for five hits and four RBIs in Saturday's 5-3 win for the White Sox, who have won three in a row and are averaging 16.5 hits over their last four games.
San Francisco at Atlanta 1:20 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves will spend the next week tuning up their roster for the playoffs now that the National League East title is secured, and expect more of the same as they close out a home series Sunday with the San Francisco Giants. Before Saturday’s 8-1 victory, manager Brian Snitker told reporters third baseman Josh Donaldson and perhaps second baseman Ozzie Albies will sit out the series finale - one day after several potential playoff roster candidates earned starts.
LA Angels at Houston 2:10 PM ET
Justin Verlander looks to post 20 victories in a season for the first time since he was the American League MVP and Cy Young winner in 2011 when he takes the mound for the Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. Verlander is also 11 strikeouts away from becoming the 18th pitcher in major-league history to register 3,000 in a career as the Astros try to maintain their hold of baseball’s best record.
Pittsburgh at Milwaukee 2:10 PM ET
In just a matter of weeks, the Milwaukee Brewers have gone from the brink of playoff elimination to the team nobody wants to face in the postseason. Milwaukee has gone 16-4 this month and looks to continue its hot streak on Sunday in the finale of a three-games series against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates, who have lost eight in a row.
Kansas City at Minnesota 2:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins may have the easiest remaining schedule of any team in the majors as they close in on their first American League Central crown since 2010, although their once-reliable bullpen has made things a bit more interesting this weekend. The Twins hope to rebound from a rough finish to Saturday's setback in time to secure a series victory on Sunday, when they host the Kansas City Royals for the finale of their four-game set.
St. Louis at Chi. Cubs 2:20 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs signed Craig Kimbrel in early June hoping he would bolster the back of the bullpen and tilt the balance of power in the National League Central. To the Cubs' chagrin, Kimbrel's failures may have doomed their playoff hopes and handed the division title to the St. Louis Cardinals, who go for a four-game sweep of Chicago at Wrigley Field on Sunday afternoon.
Texas at Oakland 4:07 PM ET
After opening the three-game series with an 8-0 triumph, the Oakland Athletics surpassed that run total in the first two innings on Saturday and cruised to a 12-3 victory. The Athletics look to complete their second series sweep of the Texas Rangers in two weekends and post their 11th win in 12 overall contests when they play their regular-season home finale on Sunday.
Colorado at LA Dodgers 4:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers were unable to make any progress in terms of wrapping up home-field advantage throughout the National League playoffs in their last contest, but several key milestones remain within reach over the next few days. The Dodgers attempt to rebound from a rare home loss to the Colorado Rockies when the NL West rivals conclude their one-sided season series on Sunday.
Arizona at San Diego 4:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres will have a new manager leading the way next season, when they believe they’ll be ready to contend for a division title. One day after firing manager Andy Green, the Padres look to avoid being swept in their three-game series against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday.
Philadelphia at Cleveland 6:37 PM ET
The Philadelphia Phillies kept their faint playoff hopes alive after a big hit from Bryce Harper, and they will go after a series victory Sunday night when they visit the Cleveland Indians for the rubber match. Harper launched a three-run homer to give Philadelphia the lead as the Phillies went on to post a 9-4 victory to remain five games behind Milwaukee for the National League’s second wild card with nine to play.
