Minnesota at Cleveland 1:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians look to put some pressure on in the race for the American League Central title when they host the first-place Minnesota Twins for a split doubleheader Saturday after the series opener was rained out. The Indians have won four straight to pull within 3 1/2 games of the Twins in the division and the teams were tied 2-2 in the third inning Friday before inclement weather and an ominous forecast caused the postponement.
Pittsburgh at Chi. Cubs 2:20 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs are among the worst road teams in the National League, making it imperative they fare well on their final homestand - a 10-game run against three division opponents. The Cubs came out swinging in their first game back at Wrigley Field in 10 days and will look to keep the offense rolling in the second of a three-game set versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday afternoon.
NY Yankees at Toronto 3:07 PM ET
It took more than half the season but the New York Yankees are finally seeing the top-of-the-rotation starter they envisioned when they acquired James Paxton from Seattle last November. Paxton will look to win his ninth consecutive start and move the Yankees closer to a division title in the second of a three-game series at the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon.
Atlanta at Washington 4:05 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves extended their National League East lead while Nick Markakis missed 43 games with a fractured left wrist, and with their outfielder back in the lineup they look to continue closing in on the division crown Saturday at the Washington Nationals. Markakis went 2-for-4 with a sacrifice fly and a run scored in Friday’s 5-0 victory in his first game since July 26, as the Braves pushed their lead over the Nationals to 9 ½ games and lowered their magic number to six.
Baltimore at Detroit 6:10 PM ET
The only drama left in the season for the Detroit Tigers and the Baltimore Orioles is finding out which team will end up with the worst record in the league and the No. 1 pick in next June's draft. The Tigers, who host the Orioles in the second of a four-game series on Saturday, have the inside track at that No. 1 pick as the season winds down.
Boston at Philadelphia 7:05 PM ET
Scoreboard watching has become a second job for the Philadelphia Phillies, who host the Boston Red Sox for a two-game series beginning Saturday. Philadelphia sits 2 1/2 games behind the Chicago Cubs for the second wild-card spot in the National League but plays 11 of its final 16 contests on the road.
Minnesota at Cleveland 7:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians look to put some pressure on in the race for the American League Central title when they host the first-place Minnesota Twins for a split doubleheader Saturday after the series opener was rained out. The Indians have won four straight to pull within 3 1/2 games of the Twins in the division and the teams were tied 2-2 in the third inning Friday before inclement weather and an ominous forecast caused the postponement.
LA Dodgers at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers already wrapped up the National League West title but are not taking their foot off the gas as the season winds to a close. The New York Mets, who host the Dodgers in the second of a three-game series on Saturday, would probably prefer for Los Angeles to ease up a tad as they try to stay in the wild card race.
Milwaukee at St. Louis 7:15 PM ET
Much of Paul Goldschmidt's first season with the St. Louis Cardinals has been considered a disappointment, but he's been anything but when he's faced the Milwaukee Brewers. Coming off one of the most explosive offensive outbursts of his career, the six-time All-Star looks to help the Cardinals continue their push toward a National League Central crown on Saturday, when they host the Brewers for the middle contest of their three-game series.
Houston at Kansas City 7:15 PM ET
George Springer is putting on the best regular-season power display of his six-year career and hopes to continue doing so when the Houston Astros visit the Kansas City Royals on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game set. Springer hit a tiebreaking three-run homer in the ninth inning of Friday's series opener to give Houston a 4-1 win and himself a new career high of 35 blasts.
Oakland at Texas 8:05 PM ET
The Oakland Athletics are one of many teams in the majors putting up historic home run figures, and they'll try to add to their impressive total when they put a four-game winning streak on the line Saturday at the Texas Rangers. The Athletics opened the three-game series with a 14-9 win while hitting five home runs, two by Khris Davis, to stay atop the race for the first wild card in the American League.
Cincinnati at Arizona 8:10 PM ET
The Arizona Diamondbacks' red-hot stretch during which it won 11 of 12 contests has become a distant memory as the club has gone a week without a victory. Arizona looks to halt its six-game slide and keep alive its slim postseason hopes when it hosts the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game series.
San Diego at Colorado 8:10 PM ET
The scoreboard operator figures to be busy again Saturday when the Colorado Rockies continue their three-game series against the visiting San Diego Padres. The teams have combined for 148 runs and 221 hits in their eight games at Coors Field this season, with Colorado winning five of the matchups.
Miami at San Francisco 9:05 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants dropped out of playoff contention during a lengthy slump, but they may have discovered a dominant reliever in the process. Shaun Anderson quietly has emerged as a reliable late-inning option for the Giants, who continue their three-game series against the visiting Miami Marlins on Saturday.
Tampa Bay at LA Angels 9:07 PM ET
After a disappointing series in Texas, the Tampa Bay Rays got back on track in the opener of their three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels. Tampa Bay looks to keep the wins coming when it visits Los Angeles on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game set.
Chi. White Sox at Seattle 9:10 PM ET
It has been more than five months since Felix Hernandez came away with a victory. Hernandez likely is receiving one of his final attempts to record another win on Saturday, when the Seattle Mariners host the Chicago White Sox for the middle contest of their three-game series.
