Tampa Bay at Baltimore 1:05 PM ET
One night after riding a grand slam to their third victory in a row, the Tampa Bay Rays had the tables turned on them by the Baltimore Orioles. Despite absorbing a 7-1 drubbing on Saturday night, Tampa Bay can secure its fifth consecutive road series victory when it wraps up a four-game set against the Orioles on Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards.
Kansas City at Cleveland 1:10 PM ET
Franmil Reyes hopes to build off perhaps his biggest hit in a Cleveland uniform when the Indians attempt to complete a three-game sweep of the visiting Kansas City Royals on Sunday afternoon. Reyes, who is batting just .167 since coming over from San Diego before the trade deadline, belted a three-run homer in the 4-2 victory on Saturday as the Indians strengthened their grasp on the first wild-card slot in the American League.
Philadelphia at Miami 1:10 PM ET
The Philadelphia Phillies bounced back from an embarrassing loss with a solid win and have a chance to take the three-game series when they visit the Miami Marlins for the finale on Sunday. The Phillies squandered a seven-run lead in Friday's 19-11 setback but turned the momentum immediately with a 9-3 triumph on Saturday.
Atlanta at NY Mets 1:10 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves have bolstered their roster with waiver-wire pickups this month due to injuries, and the newcomers continue to pay dividends entering Sunday’s series finale at the New York Mets. Francisco Cervelli had three hits with three RBIs in his Atlanta debut Saturday, while Billy Hamilton singled as a pinch-hitter and scored in Saturday’s 9-5 victory that extended the Braves winning streak to seven contests and maintained their six-game lead in the National League East.
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 1:35 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates found the perfect way to break out of a slump, victimizing a division rival that they have dominated at home. The Pirates can complete their first series sweep in more than two months when they attempt to beat the Cincinnati Reds for the 10th consecutive time at home on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a three-game set.
LA Angels at Houston 2:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros continue their march toward the postseason when they try for a three-game sweep of the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. First-place Houston (84-47), which has an 8 1/2-game lead on Oakland in the American League West, is tied with the New York Yankees for the best record in the AL and owns the top mark in franchise history after 131 games following Saturday's 5-2 victory that gave it five wins in six games and showcased a pair of hot hitters.
Texas at Chi. White Sox 2:10 PM ET
Willie Calhoun's major-league career has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride over parts of three seasons so far, but it appears he is starting to put it together in the heart of the Texas Rangers' batting order. The 24-year-old sets his sights on going deep for a third straight day when the Rangers attempt to salvage a split of their four-game series against the host Chicago White Sox on Sunday.
Arizona at Milwaukee 2:10 PM ET
The Milwaukee Brewers are knocking the Arizona Diamondbacks out of wild-card contention in the National League this weekend while keeping their own postseason hopes alive. The Brewers will try to polish off a three-game sweep and carry momentum into another tough stretch of schedule when they host the Diamondbacks in the series finale on Sunday.
Detroit at Minnesota 2:10 PM ET
While the Minnesota Twins did not begin their six-game homestand against a pair of sub-.500 opponents the way in which they wanted, they will get the chance to end it the way they expected. The Twins attempt to break even at Target Field this week when they host the Detroit Tigers on Sunday for the rubber match of their three-game series.
Colorado at St. Louis 2:15 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals look for a third straight scoreless outing from their starting pitcher when they send Michael Wacha to the mound Sunday afternoon as they go for a four-game sweep of the visiting Colorado Rockies. The Cardinals extended their lead in the National League Central to 1 1/2 games over the Chicago Cubs after Dakota Hudson tossed six scoreless frames in a 6-0 victory Saturday.
Washington at Chi. Cubs 2:20 PM ET
The Washington Nationals are making a statement this weekend at Wrigley Field, where they can polish off a three-game sweep Sunday against the host Chicago Cubs. After rolling to a 9-3 win in Friday’s series opener, the Nationals coasted past the Cubs 7-2 on Saturday.
San Francisco at Oakland 4:07 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants aren't prepared to wave the white flag yet as they send a hungry rookie to the mound to face the host Oakland Athletics on Sunday in the finale of their two-game interleague series. Logan Webb, who rooted for the Athletics while growing up some 100 miles from Oakland in Rocklin, Calif., makes his second major-league start after winning his debut for San Francisco.
Boston at San Diego 4:10 PM ET
Brock Holt is enjoying quite a week for the Boston Red Sox, who aim for a sweep of their three-game series against the host San Diego Padres on Sunday. The versatile Holt belted a go-ahead homer off All-Star closer Kirby Yates in the ninth inning of Saturday’s 5-4 victory, just days after delivering a walk-off single in Thursday’s 10-inning win over Kansas City.
Toronto at Seattle 4:10 PM ET
Despite his efforts at the plate, Bo Bichette was unable to help the Toronto Blue Jays halt their losing streak in the series opener. Toronto managed to accomplish the feat in the middle contest thanks in part to the rookie, who seeks his third straight three-hit performance when the Blue Jays visit the Seattle Mariners in Sunday's rubber match.
NY Yankees at LA Dodgers 7:05 PM ET
A day after they showed some muscle in an impressive series-opening win at Dodger Stadium, the New York Yankees were silenced Saturday in Los Angeles. The Yankees will have a hard time rediscovering their offense Sunday in the finale of a three-game series with the host Dodgers, who turn to dominant ace Clayton Kershaw in an effort to win the rubber match.
