Toronto at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees need to see a strong performance out of struggling ace Luis Severino when they continue a three-game series against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. Severino is coming off his shortest outing of the year - a four-inning stint against the New York Mets on Monday - and has seen his ERA rise from 1.98 at the beginning of July to 3.27.
Baltimore at Cleveland 4:05 PM ET
Jose Ramirez boosted his home run and RBI totals in each of his six seasons and has already established career highs in both categories with 41 games remaining on the season. Ramirez and the red-hot Indians will go for their seventh consecutive victory when they host the major league-worst Baltimore Orioles on Saturday afternoon.
Houston at Oakland 4:05 PM ET
The Oakland Athletics have been charging toward the top of the American League West and could grab a share of the spot when they host the Houston Astros on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game set. Oakland posted a dramatic 10-inning victory in the series opener to improve to 12-3 in its last 15 contests and climb within one game of first-place Houston.
NY Mets at Philadelphia 4:05 PM ET
The Philadelphia Phillies look to clinch just the seventh series victory over the New York Mets in 26 tries and continue their strong play at home when the National League rivals meet for the fourth of a five-game set Saturday afternoon. The Phillies gave up 24 runs in the series opener before taking the last two contests, including Friday’s 4-2 victory behind All-Star pitcher Aaron Nola that pulled them within one-half game of first-place Atlanta in the NL East.
Miami at Washington 7:05 PM ET
Bryce Harper continues to rake for the Washington Nationals, who seek a third straight victory when they play the second of a three-game series with the visiting Miami Marlins on Saturday. The All-Star outfielder had three hits and two RBIs in an 8-2 win to begin the series as the Nationals moved back over .500 (62-61) and pulled within seven games of first-place Atlanta in the National League East.
Chi. Cubs at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
Two teams going in opposite directions meet Saturday night when the National League Central-leading Chicago Cubs visit the slumping Pittsburgh Pirates for the third of a four-game set. The Cubs notched a second straight 1-0 triumph in the series Friday night for a seventh victory in 10 contests, extending their lead in the division to 4 1/2 games over the Milwaukee Brewers, while Pittsburgh lost its fifth straight.
Colorado at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies have been one of the hottest teams in the majors for almost two months and are close to taking over first place in the National League West as they visit the Atlanta Braves on Saturday night. The Rockies have won six of their last seven and are 28-14 since June 28 after pounding out 16 hits in an 11-5 victory over the Braves on Friday to remain 1 1/2 games behind NL West leader Arizona.
Kansas City at Chi. White Sox 7:10 PM ET
The Chicago White Sox seek their second four-game winning streak of the month when they host the Kansas City Royals on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game series. Chicago, which won four straight from Aug. 2-5 - a string that began versus Kansas City, overcame an early three-run deficit Friday to post a 9-3 victory.
San Francisco at Cincinnati 7:10 PM ET
Madison Bumgarner has produced a pair of 18-win seasons and was named World Series MVP in 2014, but the San Francisco Giants are having trouble picking up victories with the ace left-hander on the mound since the start of 2017. The Giants are 10-20 in Bumgarner's last 30 starts entering Saturday's matchup against the host Cincinnati Reds.
Tampa Bay at Boston 7:10 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox are dominating in all areas, but their play at home has been particularly outstanding of late. The best team in the major leagues will try to extend their exceptional run at Fenway Park when they play the second of three straight against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday.
Detroit at Minnesota 7:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins have belted six homers while winning the first two games of the series and look to inflict further damage on Saturday, when they host the Detroit Tigers for the third contest of their four-game set. The Twins launched three blasts in the series-opening 15-8 victory and three more in Friday's 5-4 triumph.
Milwaukee at St. Louis 7:15 PM ET
It remains to be seen if St. Louis Cardinals interim manager Mike Shildt will be leading the team next season, but he’s making a strong case for the permanent job. St. Louis continues its three-game series against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday after moving closer in the race for the second National League wild-card spot with Friday’s 5-2 victory.
LA Angels at Texas 8:05 PM ET
The Texas Rangers have posted a pair of two-run victories to start the series and look for another win on Saturday, when they host the Los Angeles Angels for the third contest of their four-game set. Arizona at San Diego 8:40 PM ET
The Arizona Diamondbacks look to post their seventh consecutive victory at Petco Park when they visit the San Diego Padres on Saturday for the third contest of their four-game series. The Diamondbacks also have won the last five overall meetings after capturing the first two games of the set, including Friday's 9-4 victory.
LA Dodgers at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
After a quiet first few weeks in the National League, Manny Machado seems to be settling in with the Los Angeles Dodgers, who continue their three-game series versus the host Seattle Mariners on Saturday. Machado homered twice in Friday’s 11-1 victory as the Dodgers remained two games back of NL West-leading Arizona.
