Chi. White Sox at Philadelphia 1:05 PM ET
The Philadelphia Phillies can close out a nine-game homestand on a positive note when they wrap up a three-game set against the skidding Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon. After rebounding from a 15-inning marathon loss on Friday night, the Phillies vie for back-to-back series wins as they continue their bid for a wild-card slot.
Toronto at Baltimore 1:05 PM ET
The Baltimore Orioles may be going nowhere fast and appear poised for a third consecutive last-place finish in the American League East this season, but their recent play may indicate a brighter future may not be too far away. The Orioles attempt to salvage a split of their four-game series when they host the division-rival Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday.
Miami at Tampa Bay 1:10 PM ET
The surging Tampa Bay Rays aim for their second straight series sweep when they cap a two-game set against the visiting Miami Marlins on Sunday. Following three straight impressive wins at Fenway Park, the Rays picked up an 8-6 victory Saturday to open the Citrus Series while securing their hold on the second wild-card spot in the American League.
LA Angels at Cleveland 1:10 PM ET
All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor has picked up where he left off at the end of July and hopes to stay hot when his Cleveland Indians go after a three-game sweep of the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Sunday afternoon. Lindor belted a three-run homer in Saturday’s 7-2 victory and is 8-for-16 during a four-game hitting streak that began on July 31 when he had three hits to end a month in which he batted .330.
Cincinnati at Atlanta 1:20 PM ET
Ozzie Albies is in just his second full big-league season but is a big reason why the Atlanta Braves' future is bright entering the finale of a four-game home series against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday. The 22-year-old second baseman led the way in Saturday’s 5-4 victory with a triple, two stolen bases and two runs scored, giving Albies 10 steals to go with 29 doubles, 15 homers and 68 runs scored this season as the National League East leaders won for the fourth time in five games.
NY Mets at Pittsburgh 1:35 PM ET
New York Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard is starting to flash the form that had him above reigning Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom in the team's pecking order earlier in his career. The 26-year-old right-hander and his Mets look to hand the host Pittsburgh Pirates their seventh consecutive series loss in the rubber match of a three-game set on Sunday afternoon.
Seattle at Houston 2:10 PM ET
American League Cy Young Award candidate Justin Verlander will try to put a cap on a brilliant pitching series for the Houston Astros when he takes the mound against the visiting Seattle Mariners on Sunday. The Astros gave up three hits in a series-opening victory before posting a combined no-hitter on Saturday and now turn to Verlander, who shares the major-league lead with 14 victories.
Kansas City at Minnesota 2:10 PM ET
A rain delay could not cool the hot bats of the Minnesota Twins, who pounded out 22 runs in taking the first two games from the Kansas City Royals on Friday and Saturday. The Twins will try to keep the hits coming and polish off a three-game sweep when they host the finale on Sunday.
Milwaukee at Chi. Cubs 2:20 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs have used some quality pitching to take the first two of a three-game series with the visiting Milwaukee Brewers and will try to ride another of their veteran hurlers to a sweep Sunday afternoon. After Jose Quintana fueled a 6-2 win in the series opener with six strong innings, Cole Hamels came off the injured list to toss five scoreless in Saturday's 4-1 triumph for the Cubs.
Detroit at Texas 3:05 PM ET
Texas Rangers manager Chris Woodward recently suggested his team's lackluster play in July may have been affected in part by the uncertainty of the trade deadline, and the team's recent surge indicates he may have been correct. The Rangers attempt to move to 4-0 since the deadline passed on Sunday, when they vie for a sweep of their three-game set against the visiting Detroit Tigers - as well as their six-game season series.
San Francisco at Colorado 3:10 PM ET
Coors Field was a house of horrors for the San Francisco Giants in 2017 and 2018, but not this year as they try for a series victory over the host Colorado Rockies on Sunday. San Francisco lost 17 of 19 games in Denver over the previous two seasons but is 6-2 in the Mile High City in 2019 after Saturday's 6-5 victory, scoring 75 runs in the process.
St. Louis at Oakland 4:07 PM ET
With their hopes of winning the American League West title fading, the Oakland Athletics remain in the thick of the wild-card race. They hope to climb into the second spot and post their sixth win in seven contests when they host the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday for the finale of their two-game interleague series.
San Diego at LA Dodgers 4:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers attempt to avoid losing their second straight series at home when they host the struggling San Diego Padres on Sunday for the finale of their three-game series. Los Angeles, which owns the best home record in the majors at 42-15, improved to 33-17 versus the National League West - 18-7 at Dodger Stadium - after Saturday's 4-1 victory.
Washington at Arizona 4:10 PM ET
The Arizona Diamondbacks evened their three-game set against the visiting Washington Nationals with the help of a 15-hit attack after being limited to an infield single in a series-opening loss. Arizona attempts to win its second straight home series when it hosts Washington for Sunday's series finale.
Boston at NY Yankees 7:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees are in the process of knocking their biggest rivals out of the postseason race. The Yankees will try to finish off a four-game sweep of the defending champions when they host the Boston Red Sox in the series finale on Sunday.
