July 29, 2020
Colorado at Oakland 3:40 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies are the worst road team in baseball since 2010 but are far from it at the outset of 2020. Colorado tries to make it four out of five away from home to start the season when they visit the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday afternoon in the finale of their two-game interleague series.
Arizona at Texas 4:05 PM ET
The Arizona Diamondbacks aim to finish their season-opening six-game road trip with a .500 record when they visit the offensively-challenged Texas Rangers on Wednesday afternoon to complete their interleague set. The Diamondbacks dropped three of four at San Diego, managing nine runs combined, but scored three times in the first inning of a 4-1 victory at Texas on Tuesday.
Washington at Toronto 6:05 PM ET
The Toronto Blue Jays will play their home games this year in Buffalo, New York, but their first chance in 2020 to operate as the "home" team comes Wednesday in Washington against the Nationals. The Blue Jays took the first two of four straight meetings between the teams while serving as the away squad - including Tuesday's 5-1 victory - and will cap the stretch batting last for the final two matchups.
Chi. White Sox at Cleveland 6:10 PM ET
Lucas Giolito will try to build off his performance in the series last year when he takes the mound for the visiting Chicago White Sox against the Cleveland Indians in the finale of a three-game set Wednesday night. Giolito won both starts and did not allow a run while scattering eight hits versus the Indians in 2019 when he won a career-best 14 games.
Chi. Cubs at Cincinnati 6:40 PM ET
Kyle Hendricks can't get much better than his Opening Day performance. The right-hander will take the mound Wednesday after pitching a three-hit shutout against the Milwaukee Brewers as the Cubs seek a fourth straight victory in the third contest of a four-game set with the Reds in Cincinnati.
Milwaukee at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates came back in the late innings to turn the tables on the visiting Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday and will go after a series victory in the rubber match of the three-game set Wednesday. The Brewers rallied from a 5-1 deficit in the ninth inning Monday to force extra innings before winning in the 11th, but the Pirates rallied from a 6-2, seventh-inning deficit to pull out the victory Tuesday.
Tampa Bay at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves envisioned having a deep starting rotation during the winter, but five games into this shortened season they need a good showing from Mike Soroka entering Wednesday’s home opener against the Tampa Bay Rays. After Soroka and Max Fried started the first two games of the season, the next three in Atlanta’s rotation - Sean Newcomb, Mike Foltynewicz and Kyle Wright - have combined for an 11.57 ERA and 2.14 WHIP with nine walks over 9 1/3 innings.
Kansas City at Detroit 7:10 PM ET
The Detroit Tigers were pounded into submission in Monday's home opener, victimized by a franchise high-tying six home runs by the Kansas City Royals. The Tigers countered by using the long ball to extract some revenge 24 hours later and seek to make it two straight against their American League Central rivals in the third of a four-game set Wednesday night.
Boston at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
The New York Mets received a major scare two weeks when ace Jacob deGrom had to exit an intrasquad game due to tightness in his back. However, deGrom allayed any fears nine days later by working five shutout innings on Opening Day, and the reigning two-time Cy Young Award winner takes a streak of 28 scoreless innings into Wednesday night's start against the visiting Boston Red Sox.
LA Dodgers at Houston 7:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers look to complete a two-game sweep in Houston when they battle with the Astros on Wednesday in the finale of the tense series. The rematch of the 2017 World Series won by Houston included a benches-clearing disturbance during Los Angeles' 5-2 triumph in the opener.
NY Yankees at Baltimore 7:35 PM ET
The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles have been patiently waiting the last two nights while their respective opponents were left to sort out potentially distressing matters off the field. Major League Baseball stepped in and altered the schedules of all four teams, with the Yankees and Orioles set to begin a two-game series in Baltimore on Wednesday.

St. Louis at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins set a major league record with 307 home runs last season and that was without Josh Donaldson - a.k.a. the Bringer of Rain - in the lineup. Donaldson hit 37 homers with Atlanta last season before signing a four-year, $92 million contract with Minnesota during the offseason and tries to go deep for the second straight night when the Twins host the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday in the finale of their two-game interleague series.
San Diego at San Francisco 9:45 PM ET
San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers has fallen short of expectations in his five years with the club, but the 29-year-old looks rejuvenated during the first week of this shortened season. Myers has homered twice in his first five games for the Padres, who continue their three-game series at the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday.
Seattle at LA Angels 10:10 PM ET
Albert Pujols is closing in on Willie Mays on the all-time home run list and could take another step toward passing the legendary Hall of Famer when the Los Angeles Angels host the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday. Pujols went deep for the 657th time in his career in Tuesday's 10-2 victory in the opener of the three-game set to move three behind the fifth-place Mays.
