San Diego at Miami 12:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres hung on by a thread to snap their four-game losing streak and now have a chance to clinch a series victory when they visit the Miami Marlins on Thursday afternoon for the rubber match of their three-game set. Chris Paddack took a no-hitter into the eighth inning before the Padres edged the Marlins 3-2 on Wednesday as Kirby Yates struck out Curtis Granderson with the winning run at second base to end the game.
LA Dodgers at Philadelphia 12:35 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers have conducted their own version of a Home Run Derby competition, one that has been spread over the first three contests of their series against the host Philadelphia Phillies. The majors-best Dodgers have gone deep 11 times heading into Thursday afternoon's finale of the four-game set at Citizens Bank Park.
Toronto at Boston 1:05 PM ET
Chris Sale has been taking it on the chin in each of his last four starts, a stretch that includes allowing five or more runs for a career-high third straight time in his last trip to the mound. The seven-time All-Star aims to get back on track Thursday afternoon when the Boston Red Sox conclude their four-game series against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays.
Chi. White Sox at Kansas City 1:15 PM ET
Whit Merrifield has terrorized many pitching staffs this season but has been especially fond of the hurlers for the Chicago White Sox. The All-Star seeks his third consecutive three-hit performance on Thursday afternoon as the Kansas City Royals attempt to complete a four-game sweep of the visiting White Sox.
Tampa Bay at NY Yankees 3:00 PM ET
Severe weather forced the postponement of Wednesday's contest, so the New York Yankees and visiting Tampa Bay Rays will attempt to play a doubleheader on Thursday to complete their four-game series. New York posted an 8-3 victory on Tuesday to even the set and increase its lead over the Rays in the American League East to six games.

Detroit at Cleveland 7:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians are closer to first place in the American League Central than they have been since mid May and look to make up more ground when they attempt to complete a four-game sweep of the visiting Detroit Tigers on Thursday. Jose Ramirez remained hot with three hits and scored twice as the Indians rolled to a 7-2 victory on Wednesday to move within four games of first-place Minnesota.
St. Louis at Cincinnati 7:10 PM ET
The first week after the All-Star break is doing little to sort out the National League Central, where all five teams remain separated by 7 1/2 games. The Cincinnati Reds, who sit in last place in the division, will continue trying to figure out their buying or selling plans ahead of the July 31 trade deadline when they host the third-place St. Louis Cardinals in the opener of a four-game series on Thursday.
Washington at Atlanta 7:20 PM ET
The Washington Nationals head to Atlanta to face the National League East-leading Braves in a four-game series starting Thursday, in a matchup of two of the hottest teams in baseball the past two months. The Braves hold a 6 1/2-game lead over the Nationals entering the series and are 40-19 since May 10, but the Nationals have refused to wilt by winning 25 of 36 contests since June 1 to stay within striking distance with seven games left against Atlanta this month.
Oakland at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
A pair of American League contenders heading in opposite directions meet Thursday in Minnesota as the host Twins begin a four-game series with the streaking Oakland Athletics. The Twins have dropped three straight and nine of 15 to watch their lead in the American League Central shrink to four games over Cleveland.
Houston at LA Angels 9:07 PM ET
The Houston Astros look to leave town with a split of their four-game series when they visit the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday for the finale. George Springer belted a three-run homer and Michael Brantley hit a two-run shot as the Astros cruised to an 11-2 victory on Wednesday after losing the first two games of the set.
Milwaukee at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
Second baseman Wilmer Flores is expected back in the lineup Thursday when the Arizona Diamondbacks begin a four-game series against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers. Flores has been out since May 20 with a fractured right foot and will provide another boost to the Diamondbacks’ offense, which scored a total of 28 runs in its last two games.
NY Mets at San Francisco 9:45 PM ET
A pair of hurlers at the forefront of trade rumors meet Thursday in San Francisco, where the Giants turn to veteran Madison Bumgarner against the visiting New York Mets and flamethrower Noah Syndergaard. Both teams are trying to convince their respective front offices that they are still factors in the National League wild-card race, however, as the Giants have won five in a row and the Mets four straight.
