Preview Roundups
July 07, 2019
Baltimore at Toronto 1:07 PM ET
Pitching has been a disaster for the Baltimore Orioles, who entered the final series of the All-Star break with the highest ERA and WHIP in the major leagues. However, the Orioles have received back-to-back stellar outings from their starters against the host Toronto Blue Jays and vie for their first three-game sweep of the season in Sunday's series finale.
NY Yankees at Tampa Bay 1:10 PM ET
Finally, it was the Tampa Bay Rays coming up with the last clutch hits in the late innings and giving themselves a chance to earn a split in a four-game series against the American League East-leading New York Yankees. The Rays, who dropped the first two games of the series in extra innings before winning in walk-off fashion Saturday, will host the Yankees in Sunday's series finale.
Cleveland at Cincinnati 1:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians hope to head into the All-Star break with a season-high six straight victories when they visit the state-rival Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon for the finale of their two-game interleague set. All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor homered twice and catcher Roberto Perez went 4-for-5 with a two-run blast Saturday as the Indians rallied for a 7-2 win - their 20th in the last 28 contests.
Boston at Detroit 1:10 PM ET
David Price is undefeated in nine starts since returning from a 2 1/2-week stint on the injured list and familiarity has been a big part of his success. Price has earned three wins during a 5-0 stretch against his former teams and he will go for another against an ex-employer as the Boston Red Sox bid for a three-game sweep at the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon.
Philadelphia at NY Mets 1:10 PM ET
After losing six straight to the Philadelphia Phillies - including the last two in which their relievers gave up five runs in the ninth inning each time - the New York Mets finally got some relief from their bullpen. The Mets seek only their fourth victory in 13 contests on Sunday, when they host the Phillies for the rubber match of their three-game series.
Miami at Atlanta 1:20 PM ET
It took 15 hits and a rare quiet stretch from the Atlanta Braves' offense for the Miami Marlins to snap a eight-game losing streak against their National League East rival, and they enter Sunday looking to win the road series entering the All-Star break. The Marlins snapped an overall five-game losing streak in Saturday’s 5-4 victory, rallying from an early two-run deficit by holding Atlanta’s high-scoring offense scoreless over the final six innings.
Kansas City at Washington 1:35 PM ET
The Washington Nationals aim to win their fourth straight series and carry their recent momentum into the All-Star break when they take on the visiting Kansas City Royals in the rubber match of a three-game set Sunday afternoon. Behind another outstanding start by ace Max Scherzer and a 12-hit attack, the Nationals rolled to a 6-0 win in Saturday's matchup.
Milwaukee at Pittsburgh 1:35 PM ET
The second half of the season figures to be a wild one in the National League Central. Two of the five teams in the division that are separated by just four games will try to carry some momentum into the All-Star break when the Milwaukee Brewers and host Pittsburgh Pirates finish a three-game series Sunday afternoon.

The second half of the season figures to be a wild one in the National League Central. Two of the five teams in the division that are separated by just 4 1/2 games will try to carry some momentum into the All-Star break when the Milwaukee Brewers and host Pittsburgh Pirates finish a three-game series Sunday afternoon.
LA Angels at Houston 2:10 PM ET
Yuli Gurriel won't be joining his teammates in Cleveland for the All-Star Game next week as the Houston Astros had a major league-high six players selected, but no hitter on the team has been as locked in at the plate quite like him of late. The Cuban slugger looks to extend his home-run streak to five games on Sunday, when Houston attempts to take the rubber match of its three-game series against the visiting Los Angeles Angels.
Chi. Cubs at Chi. White Sox 2:10 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs needed just one big inning to take the series opener while sliding into first place in the National League Central and look to finish off a two-game sweep of the host Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon. Javier Baez and Kyle Schwarber each knocked in two of the five runs the Cubs scored in the fifth inning of Saturday’s 6-3 victory, moving one-half game ahead of Milwaukee in the division.
Texas at Minnesota 2:10 PM ET
The slugging Minnesota Twins managed only one home run Saturday, but it was enough to clinch a series win over the Texas Rangers. The Twins will go for a sweep of the three-game set and try to enter the All-Star break with some momentum when they host the Rangers in Sunday's finale.
St. Louis at San Francisco 4:05 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants have had a revolving door in the outfield all season, but they may have found a few keepers in Alex Dickerson and Austin Slater. The promising duo ranks as one of the few bright spots for the last-place Giants, who host the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday for the rubber match of their three-game series.
San Diego at LA Dodgers 4:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres are in the thick of the National League wild card race and have shown some encouraging signs with back-to-back wins following a five-game losing streak. The Padres look to head into the All-Star break on a high note Sunday when they conclude their four-game series against the host Los Angeles Dodgers.
Colorado at Arizona 4:10 PM ET
Arizona's eight-game losing streak to Colorado is a distant memory as the host Diamondbacks try for a three-game sweep of the Rockies on Sunday. Arizona has outscored Colorado 12-2 in the first two contests after Saturday's 4-2 victory gave the visitors five straight losses - their longest slide since dropping eight in a row in April - while shining a brighter light on an eye-popping home/road hitting discrepancy.
Oakland at Seattle 4:10 PM ET
The Oakland Athletics grabbed an early lead on Saturday, putting them in position to post their ninth win in 11 games and extend their series unbeaten streak to six. Oakland squandered the advantage, however, but has one more chance to avoid losing its first set since mid-June when it visits the Seattle Mariners on Sunday for the rubber match of their three-game series.
