May 30, 2019
St. Louis at Philadelphia 1:05 PM ET
Bryce Harper hasn't provided the most bang for his buck in the early portion of his time with the Philadelphia Phillies, although the $330 million man has showed signs of putting it all together in the first two contests against the St. Louis Cardinals. Harper looks to continue the good fortune for the Phillies on Thursday afternoon when they vie for a sweep of the visiting Cardinals.
San Francisco at Miami 1:10 PM ET
The Miami Marlins and San Francisco Giants each occupy last place in their respective divisions, although only one team is playing like it appears comfortable at that location. Winners of nine of their last 12, the Marlins look to complete their third sweep of their past four series on Thursday afternoon when they face the reeling San Francisco Giants.
Arizona at Colorado 3:10 PM ET
A successful homestand has vaulted the Colorado Rockies back to .500 for the first time since March 31, and they'll try to get over the hump when they go for a four-game sweep of the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday afternoon. Colorado (27-27) prevailed 5-4 on Wednesday for its season-high fourth straight victory and is 5-1 on its 10-game stay at Coors Field.
Boston at NY Yankees 7:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees are sitting atop the American League East and have won eight consecutive series as they prepare to square off with their most bitter rival for the second time this season. Having gone four weeks without suffering back-to-back defeats, New York opens a four-game series against the defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox on Thursday night at Yankee Stadium.
Milwaukee at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
Josh Bell has two more chances to set a club record for the most home runs in the month of May, the first of which takes place Thursday in the opener of a four-game series with the visiting Milwaukee Brewers. Bell tied Jason Bay's 2006 mark with his 12th blast this month, a three-run shot that propelled the Pirates to a 7-2 win at Cincinnati on Wednesday.
Minnesota at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins are among the biggest surprises of the early season, owning the best record in the major leagues and threatening to turn the American League Central race into a runaway before the calendar flips to June. Minnesota's sizable division lead could take a hit as it kicks off a 10-game road trip with the first of four at the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday night.
Kansas City at Texas 8:05 PM ET
The Texas Rangers begin an 11-game homestand that includes seven against the two worst teams in the American League on Thursday with the first of four against the Kansas City Royals. The Rangers, who are 19-5 versus the Royals since the start of 2016 after taking two of three in Kansas City earlier this month, salvaged a 3-3 road trip with an 8-7 victory over Seattle on Wednesday afternoon.
Cleveland at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians made a statement over the last two days that they intend to stay in the playoff race for a while and look to carry that momentum into the opener of their four-game road series against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. The Indians had lost seven of eight games before rallying for a 7-5 win at Boston on Tuesday, and they followed that up with a 14-9 triumph in the rubber match of the set the following day.
NY Mets at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers were on the verge of suffering back-to-back losses for the first time in more than a month before taking advantage of the New York Mets' beleaguered bullpen Wednesday. Los Angeles attempts to ride that momentum to a series win when it hosts New York on Thursday for the finale of their four-game set.
LA Angels at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels have won back-to-back series against division opponents and will try to get the jump on another one when they begin a four-game set at the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. After taking two of three from Texas at home, the Angels did the same at Oakland to begin this week, capped by a wild 12-7 triumph in 11 innings Wednesday afternoon.
