Chi. White Sox at Cleveland 6:10 PM ET
The Chicago White Sox gave up 30 runs in the previous three contests and decided to get their own bats in gear Monday while posting a 9-1 victory in the opener of a four-game road series against the American League Central-rival Cleveland Indians. The White Sox, who lost nine of 10 at Cleveland last year, look to build off the 13-hit effort and even their record on the road when they visit the Indians on Tuesday night.
Seattle at NY Yankees 6:35 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners have led the majors in homers for the bulk of the season and hit two more Monday, but even the most powerful lineup in baseball cannot seem to solve the riddle of the New York Yankees. The Yankees set their sights on a sixth straight home win against the Mariners and look to beat them for a 14th time in 17 meetings overall when they play the second of four games on Tuesday.
Texas at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates might as well be an American League team considering their schedule of late and with the amount of success they've enjoyed, the franchise might be OK with a switch. The Pirates will try to get started on their fifth consecutive interleague series victory dating to last season when they host the Texas Rangers on Tuesday in their third straight interleague set.
Boston at Baltimore 7:05 PM ET
The Baltimore Orioles managed to put the clamps on a red-hot Boston Red Sox offense that had scored 55 runs over its previous seven games, putting a halt to an embarrassing run by the defending world champions at their home park. The Orioles eye a third straight victory over their American League East rival on Tuesday when the teams continue their three-game set in Baltimore.
Minnesota at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
Minnesota Twins left fielder Eddie Rosario leads the American League with 12 home runs, and he has done a good amount of that damage against Toronto Blue Jays pitching. Rosario will try to continue his power barrage when he leads the visiting Twins into the second of three games against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Arizona at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
Tommy Pham checked off another milestone in his career during the series opener and looks to follow that up with another big effort when the Tampa Bay Rays host the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night. Pham’s first career grand slam blew the game wide open Monday and the American League East-leading Rays went on to post a 12-1 victory - their eighth in the last 12 outings.
LA Angels at Detroit 7:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels should be happy to return to the United States after a tough two-game trip to Mexico over the weekend ended a recent hot streak. The Angels will try to find a winning formula again when they visit the Detroit Tigers for the opener of a three-game series Tuesday.
Washington at Milwaukee 7:40 PM ET
The Milwaukee Brewers have seen their pitching staff become significantly less generous after surrendering 11 runs in back-to-back contests, yielding a total of nine during their four-game winning streak. The Brewers bid to continue their good fortune on Tuesday as they play the second contest of a three-game series versus the visiting Washington Nationals, who have lost nine of their last 12.
Philadelphia at St. Louis 7:45 PM ET
A return to Busch Stadium was all the St. Louis Cardinals needed to change their fortunes after surrendering 25 runs during a season-high four-game losing streak. The Cardinals aim to ride the momentum of a five-hit shutout in the opener against the Philadelphia Phillies into the second contest of their three-game series on Tuesday.
Miami at Chi. Cubs 8:05 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs' winning streak ended against the unlikeliest of opponents as they squandered a ninth-inning lead in the opener of their series versus the league-worst Miami Marlins. Chicago looks to get back on track when it hosts Miami for the second contest of their four-game set.
Kansas City at Houston 8:10 PM ET
Carlos Correa's career-best hitting streak sits at 16 games as the Houston Astros enter Tuesday's game against the visiting Kansas City Royals. The 24-year-old shortstop went 3-for-4 with his eighth homer of the campaign as the Astros posted a 6-4 win on Monday in the opener of their three-game series.
San Francisco at Colorado 8:40 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies continue their nine-game homestand against National League West rivals when they meet the San Francisco Giants for three games beginning Tuesday. Colorado was on the verge of being swept by Arizona before erasing a four-run deficit with five in the eighth inning of Sunday's 8-7 victory but Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado put the win in perspective.
Cincinnati at Oakland 10:07 PM ET
The Oakland Athletics return home for six games beginning Tuesday with a three-game set against the Cincinnati Reds after a disastrous road trip left them in last place in the American League West. Oakland completed a 1-8 trek with a 5-3 loss in 13 innings to Pittsburgh, which scored four runs after the Athletics put up two in the top of the frame.
Atlanta at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves began their 10-game road trip by sweeping a three-game series at Miami but were unable to continue their surge in the opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Atlanta attempts to get back in the win column on Tuesday as it visits Los Angeles for the middle contest of their three-game set.
NY Mets at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres look to post their 10th victory in 15 games when they host the New York Mets on Tuesday for the middle contest of their three-game series. New York is slumping with four straight losses, and Monday's 4-0 setback was its second shutout defeat in a six-game span.
