Michael McCarron scored two goals and the Nashville Predators scored seven unanswered to beat the visiting San Jose Sharks 8-2 on Tuesday night.

With the victory, Nashville extended its point streak to 15 games (13-0-2), matching a franchise record. The Predators also had a 15-game run (14-0-1) during the 2017-18 campaign.

Roman Josi had a goal and two assists for his third consecutive multi-point game for the Predators (40-25-4, 84 points). Filip Forsberg also had a goal and two assists, and Ryan McDonagh and Kiefer Sherwood each had three assists. Juuse Saros made 18 saves.

Mario Ferraro had a goal and an assist for the Sharks (16-45-7, 39 points), who have lost five straight. Magnus Chrona made 32 saves.

Josi gave the Predators a 1-0 lead at 11:18 of the first period, scoring on a slap shot from the right point off a cross-ice pass from McDonagh.

Mikael Granlund tied the score at 1 at 17:18, receiving a pass from Klim Kostin on the rush and scoring on a wrist shot from the right circle.

Ferraro gave the Sharks a 2-1 lead at 5:46 of the second period, receiving a pass from Thomas Bordeleau and scoring on a wrist shot from the high slot.

Jason Zucker tied the score, 2-2, at 9:37 of the second period. Colton Sisson's shot trickled past Chrona, and Zucker knocked the puck in.

Josi set up the Predators' go-ahead goal. He eluded a defenseman and centered the puck to Sherwood, whose shot was blocked, but McCarron knocked in the rebound at 15:26 to give the Predators a 3-2 lead.

Luke Evangelista made it 4-2 at 17:50 when he took a pass from Josi on the rush, skated into the right circle, cut into the slot and scored on a backhand shot.

McCarron increased the lead to 5-2 at 10:35 of the third period, scoring on a wrist shot from just inside the left circle, and Mark Jankowski deflected Tyson Barrie's shot past Chrona at 14:13 to make it 6-2.

Forsberg scored his 36th goal of the season at 14:43, and Tommy Novak's tally at 16:16 made it 8-2.
