Brayden Schenn scored 1:54 into overtime, lifting the visiting St. Louis Blues past the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 on Wednesday.

The Canucks rallied from a two-goal deficit thanks to Pius Suter's third-period hat trick as they forced overtime. The OT defeat extended Vancouver's point streak to 10 games (8-0-2).

Jake Neighbours had a goal and an assist for the Blues, who won their third straight game, matching their best run of the season.

Pavel Buchnevich and Alexey Toropchenko also scored for St. Louis, and Robert Thomas had two assists. Joel Hofer made 29 saves to earn the victory.

Brock Boeser and Quinn Hughes had two assists each for the Canucks, and Casey DeSmith stopped 14 shots.

On the winning play, Nick Leddy cycled the puck behind the net and fed Schenn out front. Schenn beat DeSmith with a shot from the left circle.

The Canucks controlled much of the first period and held the Blues without a shot for nearly 11 minutes to start the game. However, St. Louis took a 1-0 lead at 13:14 of the opening frame when Thomas set up Neighbours in the near slot with a pass from the left corner.

Buchnevich made it 2-0 with a power-play goal less than two minutes later. Thomas fed Neighbours at the right post, then Neighbours slid a cross-crease pass to Buchnevich for a tap-in at the left post.

The Canucks cut their deficit to 2-1 when Suter scored 60 seconds into the third period. Hughes fired a shot from the left point, and Suter backhanded rebound into the net during the ensuing goalmouth scramble.

Just 41 seconds later, Toropchenko increased the Blues' lead to 3-1 by redirecting Kevin Hayes' pass from the right corner.

But Suter struck again, this time on a power play, to pull the Canucks within one goal at 5:42. He converted Boeser's centering pass from the end boards.

The Canucks kept Hofer under siege from there. The Blues killed off a later power play, but Vancouver pulled DeSmith for an extra attacker and Suter scored with 51.3 seconds left during a goalmouth scramble to tie the game 3-3 and force overtime.
