Toronto goaltender Joseph Woll made his first start of the season after recovering from a groin strain. He stopped 22 shots.

Broberg scored his second goal of the season on a screened shot from the point at 4:07 of the first period. Kyrou's work set up the play and Buchnevich also earned an assist.

An unimpeded Holloway tucked in his first goal of the night from the low slot through the five-hole at 10:31 of the first. Brandon Saad made a backhand pass to set up Holloway. Jake McCabe was off for high-sticking.

Woll stopped Brayden Schenn on a breakaway at 15:13 of the first.

Ekman-Larsson slapped home his first of the season from the right circle at 6:20 of the second period on a pass from Morgan Rielly. The shot was deflected by a St. Louis player.

St. Louis regained a two-goal lead at 7:58 of the second on Texier's first goal of the season, a wrist shot from the right circle after Kyrou's no-look backhand pass from the corner.

Neighbours scored his third of the season from the right circle at 3:45 of the third period after St. Louis converted a Toronto turnover into a three-on-one break started by Schenn.

Holloway scored into an empty net at 16:42 of the third for his third goal of the season.

St. Louis was without Robert Thomas (fractured ankle). Toronto was without Max Pacioretty (lower-body injury).
