Nazem Kadri scored twice in the third period amid his second consecutive three-point game and Andrei Kuzmenko scored once with an assist to lead the host Calgary Flames to a 6-5 comeback victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday.
Matt Coronato, Connor Zary and Yegor Sharangovich also scored for the Flames (37-38-5, 79 points), who have won two consecutive games and three of four outings. Goalie Dustin Wolf made 30 saves and Rasmus Andersson collected two assists.
Dylan Guenther recorded his first career multi-goal game with a pair of tallies while Alex Kerfoot, Matias Maccelli and Josh Doan also scored for the Coyotes (35-41-5, 75 points). Clayton Keller posted a pair of helpers.
Arizona goalie Connor Ingram stopped 25 shots before leaving the game with 2:40 remaining after Coronato's stick blade went through the wires of his mask. Karel Vejmelka faced no shots in relief.
After already twice erasing deficits, the Flames trailed by a pair of goals but clawed back starting with Sharangovich's 31st goal of the season at 16:50 of the second period, 33 seconds after the Coyotes took a 5-3 lead.
Kadri then took over. The veteran center tied the game 74 seconds into the third period with a sharp-angled shot that banked off Ingram and into the net.
Kadri gave Calgary its first lead at 5:43 of the third period by deflecting MacKenzie Weegar's point shot for a power-play marker, his 29th goal of the campaign.
The Coyotes had a power play in the final minute but could not score the equalizer. The Flames have won nine straight home games against the Coyotes.
After the Coyotes staked an early 2-0 lead thanks to Kerfoot's 13th goal of the season at the 2:36 mark and Maccelli's 16th at 3:55, the Flames drew even. Kuzmenko scored his 22nd of the season at 7:22 and Coronato notched his third at 9:42 of the opening frame.
Guenther's first goal of the game on the power play at 17:54 of the opening frame put Arizona ahead again, but Zary replied with his 14th of the season at 9:07 of the second period.
Arizona moved ahead by a 5-3 count when Guenther notched his second of the game and 17th of the campaign at 15:14 of the second period and Doan potted his fifth in 10 career games 63 seconds later.
