Jonathan Marchessault had two goals and an assist, William Karlsson added a goal and an assist and the visiting Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-2 Tuesday night.

The loss ended Toronto's seven-game winning streak.

Ivan Barbashev, Mason Morelli and Nicolas Roy also scored for the Golden Knights. Shea Theodore added three assists.

Adin Hill stopped 28 shots for the Golden Knights in their second game of five straight on the road. The Golden Knights entered the night 1-4-1 in their previous six games.

Tyler Bertuzzi and Ryan Reaves scored for the Maple Leafs. Ilya Samsonov made 26 saves for Toronto.

Toronto defeated Vegas 7-3 Thursday during a 4-0-0 road trip. In that game, Toronto scored four goals in the first period, but neither team scored in the opening period Tuesday.

Barbashev gave Vegas the lead when he scored his 14th goal of the season at 9:11 of the second period on a breakaway. The play started after Hill made a good save and Michael Amadio's pass sprung Barbashev.

Morelli scored his second goal of the season at 12:20 of the second period, tipping in Theodore's shot.

Bertuzzi scored his 11th goal of the season at 17:45 of the second on a 25-foot wrist shot. It was his fourth goal in the past two games.

Karlsson answered with his 20th goal at 19:09 of the second on a quick shot from the left circle that found the five-hole.

Toronto's Morgan Rielly thwarted Amadio with a poke check on a breakaway early in the third period.

Marchessault scored at 10:50 of the third period on a 10-footer after Karlsson hit the goal post with a shot.

Reaves scored his third of the season with a 14-footer at 14:35 of the third.

Toronto coach Sheldon Keefe was given a game misconduct with two minutes to play, apparently for yelling at a referee.

Marchessault scored his 32nd of the season into an empty net at 18:23 and Roy tallied his 11th goal at 19:29.

Defenseman Timothy Liljegren (undisclosed injury) did not play for Toronto.
