Jared McCann scored two goals and added an assist as the Seattle Kraken defeated the host Columbus Blue Jackets 7-4 on Saturday night.
Oliver Bjorkstrand had a goal and two assists, Brian Dumoulin had one of each and Jordan Eberle, Tye Kartye and Eeli Tolvanen also scored as the Kraken set a franchise record with their ninth consecutive victory and extended their point streak to 13 games (11-0-2). Goaltender Joey Daccord made 30 saves.
Ivan Provorov scored twice, Kirill Marchenko had a goal and an assist and Emil Bemstrom also found the back of the net for the Blue Jackets, who suffered their third straight loss and their eighth in the past 10 games (2-4-4). Daniil Tarasov stopped 29 of 35 shots.
The Kraken thrice trailed by a goal before pulling away.
Bjorkstrand, acquired in a trade with Columbus in the summer of 2022, gave Seattle its first lead, 4-3, with a snap shot from the top of the right faceoff circle on a power play at 13:42 of the second period.
McCann, who was goalless in the previous nine games and dropped to the fourth line, scored his second marker of the night and team-leading 16th of the season on a wrister from the high slot at 6:17 of the third to make it 5-3.
Dumoulin tallied at 8:28 to extend Seattle's lead to three.
After Bemstrom scored to make it 6-4, Tolvanen converted an empty-netter.
Provorov opened the scoring at 1:41 of the first on a snap shot from the blue line that Daccord never found through a screen.
After Eberle tied it at 11:37, Provorov notched his second goal at 12:10 on a shot from the point that was headed wide of the net before deflecting off Dumoulin.
McCann tied it at 15:31 on a one-timer after Bjorkstrand forced a turnover.
The Blue Jackets took their last lead at 3-2 on Marchenko's one-timer from just outside the left faceoff dot on a five-on-three power play at 4:43 of the second.
Kartye tipped Vince Dunn's shot from the point into the net at 9:45 of the second to tie the score at 3-all.
Seattle's Andre Burakovsky suffered a lower-body injury in the first period and didn't return, and fellow forward Matty Beniers missed the third with an undisclosed injury.
