Andrew Mangiapane and Jonathan Huberdeau each scored in the first period and the Calgary Flames held on for a 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night in Saint Paul, Minn.

Blake Coleman added an empty-net goal for the Flames, who won their second game in a row. Calgary has five wins in its past seven games.

Pat Maroon scored the lone goal for Minnesota. Joel Eriksson Ek had a team-high six shots on goal but could not find the back of the net as the Wild dropped their third straight contest.

Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom stopped 28 of 29 shots to improve to 10-10-2.

Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury took the loss despite turning aside 30 of 32 shots. Fleury again failed to match Patrick Roy for second place on the all-time NHL wins list. Roy recorded 551 victories.

The Wild finished 0-for-3 on the power play. The Flames were 0-for-1.

Calgary opened the scoring 11:40 into the first period. Mangiapane scored when he redirected a shot from the top of the right circle by defenseman Rasmus Andersson.

The play marked Mangiapane's seventh goal of the season as he snapped an eight-game goal drought.

The Flames made it 2-0 in the final minute of the first period. Yegor Sharangovich passed the puck to Elias Lindholm, who promptly found Huberdeau skating left to right near the front of the net.

Huberdeau buried a backhand shot for his fifth goal. He snapped an 18-game drought and celebrated his first goal since Nov. 20, 2023, against the Seattle Kraken.

Minnesota cut the deficit to 2-1 with 10:32 left in the second period. Maroon punched in a rebound for his fourth goal as the Wild converted a three-on-one opportunity.

After the Wild pulled Fleury for an extra skater, Calgary capitalized with an empty-net goal. Coleman netted his team-high 14th goal off assists from Mikael Backlund and MacKenzie Weegar.

Weegar finished with two assists. It was his third multi-point effort of the season and his first since Nov. 1 against the Dallas Stars.
