Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev each had a goal and an assist and Mark Stone chipped in with three assists as the Vegas Golden Knights cruised to a 6-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday night in Las Vegas.

Chandler Stephenson, Jonathan Marchessault, Nicolas Roy and William Karlsson also scored goals for Vegas, which won its ninth game in a row against Ottawa dating back to a 5-4 home loss on March 2, 2018. Ben Hutton added two assists.

Logan Thompson, who replaced starter Adin Hill after 6:25 of the first period, made 20 saves. Hill, making his first appearance since leaving a Nov. 30 win at Vancouver with a lower-body injury, left after stopping just two of three shots. Thompson finished despite grimacing and grabbing his right leg after making a save early in the third period.

Josh Norris had a goal and assist and Brady Tkachuk and Ridly Greig also scored goals for Ottawa, which extended its losing streak to a season-high four games. Joonas Korpisalo finished with 25 saves.

Vegas, coming in off a 5-2 home loss to Buffalo on Friday, jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 1:37 mark as Eichel finished an odd-man rush by roofing a wrist shot from the left circle short-side for his 14th goal. It extended Eichel's point streak to a franchise-record 10 games.

Ottawa tied it, 1-1, on a power-play goal by Norris, who one-timed a shot five-hole from the right circle past Hill, who failed to go down to try and block the shot and immediately skated to the bench and was replaced by Thompson.

Greig put the Senators in front, 2-1, with a power-play goal midway through the period when he one-timed a shot from the top of the left circle through traffic.

The Golden Knights tied it less than three minutes later on Marchessault's team-leading 15th goal on a wrist shot from the high slot past Korpisalo's glove side.

Vegas then took control of the game in the second period, building a 5-2 lead while outshooting the Senators, 15-5.

Roy made it 3-2 with a power-play goal, getting behind a pair of Ottawa defenders and backhanding a shot past Korpisalo's blocker side. Stephenson followed 1:38 later with a short-handed goal, taking a saucer pass from Stone in the slot and firing a wrist shot past Korpisalo's glove side for his fourth goal in the last five games. Barbashev extended the lead to 5-2 with 12 seconds left in the period when he put in a rebound of a Nicolas Hague shot.

Karlsson tapped in a rebound on the power play for his 14th goal at the 5:43 mark of the third period to make it 6-2. Tkachuk finished the scoring with his 14th goal with 1:21 remaining when he one-timed a Drake Batherson pass from the bottom of the right circle.
