Alex Chiasson scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period and the visiting Vancouver Canucks came back to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-4 Saturday night.

The Canucks scored three times in the third period to overcome a 4-3 deficit.

Travis Hamonic, J.T. Miller, Brock Boeser and Tanner Pearson each had a goal and an assist for the Canucks, who completed a four-game roadswing with three wins. Tyler Motte also scored and Bo Horvat added two assists.

Thatcher Demko stopped 34 shots for Vancouver and was solid in withstanding Toronto's late barrage.

Auston Matthews scored two goals and John Tavares added a goal and an assist for the Maple Leafs, who have lost two in a row. Nicholas Robertson also scored.

Jack Campbell made 23 saves for Toronto.

Vancouver led 2-1 after one period.

Miller shot home a rebound from the slot for his 22nd goal of the season at 7:48, extending his point streak to nine games.

Tavares ended a 14-game goal-less drought with his 18th of the season from the slot at 9:49 on a power play. Matthew Highmore was off for slashing.

Hamonic scored his second goal of the season at 19:30 on a shot that deflected off Toronto defenseman TJ Brodie.

Boeser scored his 16th goal, batting in a rebound at 4:12 of the second period on a power play. Travis Dermott was off for interference.

Robertson scored his first NHL regular-season goal on a pass from William Nylander at 5:33 of the second.

Matthews tied the game at 8:52 of the second from the left circle after Boeser's turnover.

Matthews scored his 39th goal at 12:06 of the second on a 54-foot one-timer that beat Demko, who had lost his goal stick.

Pearson scored his 12th goal of the season at 1:03 of the third period on a tip in.

Chiasson pounced on a loose puck to score his sixth of the season at 6:55 of the third.

Motte scored his seventh into an empty net at 19:40.

Toronto's Wayne Simmonds played in his 1,000th NHL game.

Ondrej Kase (undisclosed injury) and Rasmus Sandin (illness) did not play for Toronto.
