Alex Iafallo, Viktor Arvidsson and Carl Grundstrom scored to lift the visiting Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Sunday night in Newark, N.J.
Cal Petersen made 23 saves for the Kings, who ended a three-game losing streak in the opener of a six-game East Coast road trip.
Jesper Bratt scored two goals, and Jon Gillies made 34 saves for the Devils.
Grundstrom spun and shot the puck past Gillies from the inside edge of the right circle to give the Kings a 3-2 lead at 11:05 of the third period.
Bratt gave the Devils a 1-0 lead at 2:37 of the first period. Damon Severson threaded a stretch to Bratt for a breakaway.
Iafallo tied it 1-1 at 5:47 of the first.
Jack Hughes brought the puck into the Los Angeles zone, behind the net and up the opposite wall and then turned the puck over while leaving it for Severson.
Iafallo took possession and brought the puck through the neutral zone and into the right circle, where he scored on a wrist shot.
Bratt moved New Jersey back ahead 2-1 with a power-play goal at 17:34.
Grundstrom was in the penalty box for slashing Tomas Tatar when Severson passed the puck from the point to Hughes on his left. Hughes skated into the circle and sent the puck across the ice to Bratt for a one-timer from the right circle.
Arvidsson tied it 2-2 at 15:59 of the second period.
New Jersey turned the puck over just as it entered the Los Angeles zone. Trevor Moore quickly passed the puck ahead to Arvidsson, who had a step on the defense and scored his 10th goal of the season.
Arvidsson has four goals and seven assists in the past 10 games.
Adrian Kempe, who leads the Kings with 17 goals, returned after missing three games while in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.
He had a team-leading five shots on goal.
