Josh Norris scored two goals, including the go-ahead tally with 3:42 to go, and the Ottawa Senators scored five third-period goals to rally for a 6-4 victory over the host Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.

Adam Gaudette and Alex Formenton each had a goal and an assist, and Zach Sanford and Artem Zub also scored for Ottawa, which snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Oilers. Matt Murray finished with 33 saves while Chris Tierney added two assists.

Darnell Nurse, Zack Kassian, Kailer Yamamoto and Brendan Perlini scored goals, and Jesse Puljujarvi had two assists for Edmonton, which lost its sixth straight game (0-4-2). Stuart Skinner made 20 saves.

Ottawa took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period on the power play.

Norris took Brady Tkachuk's pass from the left corner in the slot and fired a wrist shot through Skinner's pads for his 15th goal of the season.

The Oilers tied at the 19:12 mark of the first period on a power-play goal.

Kassian received a saucer pass from Leon Draisaitl in the slot where he fired a wrist shot over Murray's glove for his fifth goal of the season.

Edmonton then took a 2-1 lead at the 12:18 mark of the second period.

Yamamoto took a long flip pass from Warren Foegele at the blue line, broke in and despite losing his balance briefly, recovered to slide a shot under Murray's outstretched right pad for his eighth goal of the season.

Perlini made it 3-1 near the end of the period with his third goal of the season, redirecting Duncan Keith's knuckling point shot past Murray's blocker side.

Ottawa rallied to tie it, 3-3, early in the third period with two goals in the span of 2:26.

Gaudette got the first when he roofed a backhand shot over Skinner's glove at the end of a two-on-one break with Formenton for his third goal of the season. Formenton followed with his seventh goal of the season, tapping in a rebound of a Gaudette shot from the right doorstep.

Zub then gave the Senators a 4-3 lead when he zipped a wrist shot from the middle of the left circle through traffic and past a screened Skinner for his third goal of the season.

Nurse tied it just 1:37 later with his third goal of the season, snapping a wrist shot from the right circle under Murray's blocker.

Norris then scored a power-play goal for what proved to be the game winner, beating Skinner blocker side with a wrist shot from the right circle.

Sanford sealed the win for the Senators with an empty-net goal with 58 seconds left.
