David Pastrnak scored the go-ahead goal on a back-door tip-in with 3:24 remaining as the Boston Bruins rallied past the visiting Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on Sunday night.

Pastrnak skated in from the left circle and guided in Brad Marchand's pass through the crease for a power-play goal.

Marchand and Anton Blidh also had goals for Boston, which bounced back from two losses in three games with its fifth win in the past seven games. Marchand's goal was his team-leading ninth and gave him a team-high 24 points.

Linus Ullmark made 36 saves for the Bruins. Ullmark was making his first start after being a late scratch with a minor injury before Wednesday's game at Buffalo.

Tanner Pearson and Conor Garland each scored for Vancouver, which suffered its fourth straight loss and ninth in 10 games overall.

Former Bruins goalie Jaroslav Halak made 39 saves for the Canucks. Halak spent three seasons with Boston from 2018 to 2021 while posting a 49-23-14 record over 90 games.

Pearson opened the scoring 3:33 into the game on a power play. Nils Hoglander skated near the top of the left circle and bounced a puck to the net, where Pearson poked it through in traffic for his third goal of the season.

Blidh answered with his first of the season nearly 2 1/2 minutes later. Blidh skated into the attacking zone through three defenders before beating Halak on a long wrist shot near the top of the left circle.

Garland appeared to put Vancouver back in front with 2:37 remaining in the opening period. However, the Bruins challenged, and the goal was waved after the Canucks were deemed to be offside.

Garland finally got his goal at 12:31 of the second when he flung a puck from the left circle through Ullmark's five-hole to put the Canucks back on top, 2-1.

Marchand pulled Boston even with a power-play goal at 8:45 of the third. The Bruins' alternate captain skated through the slot and flipped in a rebound that had leaked out amid chaos in front of the net.
