Arthur Kaliyev and Adrian Kempe scored in the third period and also in the shootout to lift the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 win against the visiting St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.
Jonathan Quick made 33 saves for the Kings, who won their third straight game following a 1-5-1 start.
St. Louis' Torey Krug scored a short-handed goal with nine seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. Brayden Schenn also scored, and Jordan Binnington made 33 saves for the Blues, including eight in overtime.
St. Louis had no OT shots on goal.
David Perron and Jordan Kyrou produced shootout goals for the Blues.
The Kings went on a power play with 1:00 left in the third period. Binnington had been pulled for an extra skater when Krug followed up a long rebound and shot it past Quick to tie the score 2-2.
Kempe had given the Kings a 2-1 lead with 7:45 left in the game. Binnington, who was coming off a 25-save shutout in a 1-0 win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday, made a save on Alex Iafallo from in close but couldn't control the puck as he slid out of the crease.
Iafallo brought the puck around the back of the net and fed it to Kempe, who scored before Binnington could slide back into position.
Kaliyev found the net at 6:16 of the third period to tie the score 1-1. Kale Clague made a nice pass through the neutral zone to Kaliyev, who brought the puck to the top of the left circle before blasting a wrist shot past Binnington.
Schenn, the fifth overall pick by the Kings in the 2009 NHL Draft, scored five seconds into a power play to give the Blues a 1-0 lead at 6:48 of the second period.
Blues winger Vladimir Tarasenko had two assists to extend his point streak to seven games (four goals, seven assists). He passed Al MacInnis for eighth on the team's all-time scoring list when he collected his 453rd point, but he missed a chance to win the game when Quick saved his shot in the third round of the shootout.
