Jordan Kyrou scored twice in a career-high, four-point game and Klim Kostin netted a pair of goals 47 seconds apart in a five-goal outburst in the second period to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 7-4 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Monday in Glendale, Ariz.

Pavel Buchnevich, Justin Faulk and Ivan Barbashev also scored for the Blues, who erased a 2-1 deficit early in the second period with five goals in a 5:07 span, the third-fastest five-goal outburst in Blues franchise history. St. Louis goaltender Jordan Binnington made 22 saves.

Clayton Keller, Lawson Crouse, Christian Fischer and Travis Boyd replied for the Coyotes, who have dropped three games to start the season. Starting goalie Carter Hutton was victimized for six goals on 21 shots before being pulled in favor of Karel Vejmelka, who stopped 11 shots in relief.

With the Coyotes leading 2-1 in their home opener, Faulk netted a power-play goal at the 11:10 mark of the middle frame to start the scoring spree.

Then it became the Kyrou and Kostin show. Kyrou netted the go-ahead marker at 12:46 when he intercepted a pass and ripped a top-corner shot.

Kostin added to the lead when he zipped a one-timer from the left faceoff dot at 14:40, and then made it a 5-2 game with a top-corner shot while left alone in the slot at 15:27 of the period. His tallies were the fastest pair of goals for a Blues player in nearly 20 years.

Kyrou ended the burst when he finished a great individual effort 50 seconds later. Kyrou, who collected a pair of assists in the season opener, is the fourth St. Louis player to net six points in the first two games of a season and the first since Adam Creighton in 1995.

Keller and Buchnevich traded first-period goals before the Blues forward was assessed a match penalty for headbutting Crouse late in the opening frame. Crouse put the Coyotes ahead at 3:58 of the second period.

Fischer and Boyd netted early third-period goals before Barbashev replied with 7:35 remaining.

Shayne Gostisbehere collected three assists and Phil Kessel added two for Arizona. Robert Thomas had two helps for St. Louis.
