Dylan Gambrell scored with 4:37 left and the visiting San Jose Sharks held on for a 3-2 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night.

Kevin Labanc and Evander Kane each had a goal and an assist, and Martin Jones made 35 saves in his second start in two nights for the Sharks, who moved within one point of the fourth-place Arizona Coyotes in the West Division.

Trevor Moore scored short-handed, Dustin Brown also scored and Jonathan Quick made 20 saves for the Kings, who have lost five of six.

Jones had 30 saves in a 3-0 win against the Kings on Friday night.

Gambrell's goal came after Quick tried to play the puck behind the net, but John Leonard got to it first. He quickly passed the puck out front to Gambrell, who scored into the wide-open net.

Labanc gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead at 4:37 of the first period when he spun and scored from the slot.

Brown tied it 1-1 at 6:55 of the first with his team-leading 15th goal of the season. Anze Kopitar sent the puck to the front of the net as Brown raced in and redirected it past Jones.

After the Sharks were outshot 18-5 in the opening period, Kane moved the Sharks back ahead 2-1 at 15:04 of the second.

Labanc won the puck along the wall and backhanded a pass to Logan Couture behind the Los Angeles net. Couture immediately sent the puck out front to Kane, who dragged the puck across the front of the crease before scoring his team-leading 16th goal of the season.

The Kings tied it with less than a minute to go in the period.

Sean Walker was in the penalty box for cross checking Kane when Moore stole the puck from Kane at the San Jose blue line and skated toward the Sharks net with Brent Burns closely defending.

Moore suddenly stopped when he got to the right post, Burns skated by, and Moore tucked the puck in the net for his second short-handed goal of the season.
