VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Markus Granlund scored 1:42 into overtime to give the Canucks a 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes at Rogers Arena on Wednesday night.

It was the Vancouver center's fifth goal of the season and first as a Canuck in seven games since being acquired by trade.

Granlund skated in on a 2-on-1 with right winger Jake Virtanen during the 3-on-3 overtime and scored on a big rebound off the pad of Arizona goalie Louis Domingue.

Vancouver goalie Jacob Markstrom had stopped Arizona left winger Max Domi on a breakaway 40 seconds earlier, getting his left pad down on the Coyotes rookie

Arizona had jumped to a 2-0 second-period lead, but could not hold it.

Vancouver defenseman Luca Sbisa's one-timer slapshot from the blueline made it 2-2 at 17:38 of the second period, after his defense partner Ben Hutton drew Coyotes defenders to him before feeding the puck to his Sbisa.

It was Sbisa's second goal of the season and his first in 30 games.

Right winger Tobias Rieder put the Coyotes up 1-0 42 seconds into Arizona's first power, taking a long cross-ice pass from left winger Alex Tangay from 2:57 of the second period and beating Vancouver goalie Jacob Markstrom when he couldn't get across his crease in time.

Arizona dominated in the faceoff circle from the opening draw, winning almost three-quarters of the faceoffs in regulation time.

After the Coyotes won yet another draw in Vancouver's end early in the second, left winger Anthony Duclair fed defenseman Kevin Connauton from behind the net and Connauton beat a partially screened Markstrom high to the glove side for a 2-0 Arizona lead at 7:41 of the second.

Right winger Radim Vrbata, with only his second goal in 17 games, made it 2-1 after taking a pass from defenseman Yannick Weber, splitting the Arizona defense and beating goaltender Louis Domingue with a backhand deke at 11:55 of the second.

The Coyotes have now lost nine of their last 10 games, while Vancouver won for just the second time in six games and fourth time in 12.

Markstrom finished the night with 32 saves, Domingue with 28.
