Corey Perry scored in his 600th career game and defenseman Sami Vatanen also tallied for the Ducks, who posted a 1-0 overtime victory over Tampa Bay on Friday to end a five-game winless streak. Jonas Hiller, playing on back-to-back nights, turned aside a season-high 42 shots as Anaheim defeated Phoenix for the third time in three tries this season.

Captain Shane Doan recorded a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to eight games and Mike Ribeiro also tallied for Phoenix. Mike Smith stopped 19 of 23 shots and Thomas Greiss made four saves in the third period for the Coyotes, who lost for the first time in regulation at home (9-1-2).

Anaheim capitalized on its only chance with the man advantage in the first period as Penner lifted a shot past Smith after defenseman Cam Fowler found him in front at 11:11. Smith smothered Emerson Etem’s penalty shot 4:55 into the middle frame and Ribeiro volleyed home a rebound at the right post to tie it at 7:27.

Penner answered only 36 seconds later by whipping a shot past Smith on the rush, and Perry made a nifty move to the slot and beat the Coyotes goalie at 11:01. Vatanen delivered his second goal of the season on the power play at 16:43 as the Ducks took a 4-1 lead into the third period.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Anaheim D Luca Sbisa is expected to be sidelined 6-8 weeks with a torn tendon in his right hand and G Viktor Fasth is out 3-4 weeks with a lower-body injury, both suffered Friday.
